I love the view from my room. I can see most of the downtown area. At night it looks spectacular. However I don’t like the breakfast. Most of the food were cold. The bacon was cold and chewy. Not to many varieties. I would give it a 3 star for the breakfast. If you want to convert dollars to Taiwan money, make sure the dollars is brand new. If not they won’t exchange it for you. But overall I really like the hotel, it’s close to everything that Taiwan have to offer

Really enjoyed our stay at Amba. It was really well presente , the staff were super nice and it was very clean. The only things we weren't so keen on so much was the open plan bathroom and although there was a coffee machine in the room, it didn't work. Breakfast was great though so we just waited till we got down to the dinning area for our morning coffee. Overall we had a great experience.

The last night the hotel had a corp party in the dinning room which is located 3 floors below ours. This party had live rock music until 1 am. The decision to have live load music was a mistake by the event planner. All the hotel rooms (5 floors) are above the dinning room. We couldn't get to sleep until after 1 am. I contacted the front desk and they explained it won't finish until 1 am. Upon hearing this I contected Hotel.com agent and explained the situation and they were able to give me a one night credit for the inconvenience. If I didn't go this route I don't think I would of got this credit.

amba has a great boutique hotel feel. The view from the room was spectactular as you get a great view of Taipei, with an excellent view of Taipei 101. We really like the service and hospitality provided at amba Songshan.

This hotel is all we expected and more. It is a clean, basic room. There is a mall across the street with lots of food options and shops, so was very convenient. They also have a free shuttle to go to certain places. The hotel restaurant could be better. It was rather expensive for Taiwan. We had dinner there the first night as it was raining hard and we were not yet oriented to our surroundings. We had to purchase an entree which comes with the buffet which was way too much food. Allowing guests to purchase just the buffet would have been better. Coffee is free to guests but for some reason, we didn’t know until days later. It was probably because my understanding of mandarin is limited and the English speaking hostess was busy.

It was a great experience staying at amba, close to Raohe night market and Songshan train station, very convenient. Friendly staff, clean and spacious room, quiet at night too.
