Fleur de Chine Hotel

Room is on the small side for family of 4, including two teens. View is spectacular. Included buffet dinner is not bad, above my expectation. This is the property I wish to stay an additional night, but the price prevent me to do that.

This hotel is a 5 star hotel with great meal schedule and choices of food. The recreation floor is great for children at all ages. Hot spring swimming pool and spa are excellent additions.

I will definitely go back again!!!

This hotel's design is unreasonable. My family all got injured during our stay, like finger got pinched by the wardrobe door, foot was cut in the bathroom, and hitting head on the door of the public restroom, resulting in a swollen bump. The corridor in the hotel room had a musty smell, and in the hotel pool area, guests are not allowed to wear shoes, but the floor is very rough and painful to walk on, while employees are allowed to wear shoes. The design of the hotel’s elevator is confusing, and there are a lot of guests, making the whole hotel very noisy. The buffet offers a wide variety of food, but one of the cooks had an unfriendly attitude. If you ask for something a few times, they become impatient, and when the vegetables run out, they can't be bothered to add more. I once ate some wild vegetables that made my mouth numb, and after Googling it, I found out that they were undercooked. It was a terrible experience.

As usual, this hotel is my family’s all time favorite. The hot spring is fanatic and the hotel staff are attentive. Will return again

Staying here was a wonderful experience that we will not forget! The location, food, and amenities were of course stellar, and our room with the balcony-side private onsen tub was luxurious. What stood our most, however, was the service. Staff was attentive and kind to the highest degree. For example, with only 1 hour notice, I called the front desk to help surprise my partner for her birthday with a treat in our room upon our pending return for the evening. Within an hour, they had set up an extravagant birthday display and a wine bottle with glasses. It made our trip even more special and I am grateful! Additionally, as English speakers, we had no problem with the language barrier and found that most staff spoke proficient English.

Buffet breakfast and dinner included in the booking was enjoyable! Many options and mostly tasted good. So many bread offered at breakfast which you can enjoy multiple times in a day up to 12PM!! Don't think I've come across any hotels doing this. You will want to allocate some time to enjoy the recreation activities at Level 1. The kids and adults will definitely enjoy!

Very few dinner options for vegetarians

This property is wonderful in every way imaginable. The property is in a great location with a bus stop right across the street that transports you around the Lake. In addition, the breakfast and dinner buffets are out of this world abundant with too many options to mention. I would recommend anyone who wants to visit Sun Moon Lake to stay. But how great Fleur de Chine Hotel is I want to say that Expedia customer service is complete garbage. I've been a customer for decades and each year I keep getting amazed at how much crappier their customer service can get. My reservation during booking said that they took a deposit at the time and I'm supposed to pay the balance at the hotel but when I arrived they said that they never received the deposit and that I needed to pay in full. The subsequent 40 minutes we tried to get in touch with Expedia customer service greatly angered both myself and the reception desk. We gave up and ended up doing my own detective work in going back through months of credit card statements to see if a deposit was taken. It turned out that it wasn't so the Hotel was correct but Expedia was wrong. I don't know why I'm surprised that this was the outcome considering that my sister recently booked an entire vacation through Expedia. However, due to some mixup, she wanted to reinstate a hotel which Expedia refused. Not sure I want to continue to use them

Great amenities, lots of daily activities for adults and kids, great service, high quality breakfast and dinner buffets. Highly recommended if you’re staying at Sun Moon Lake!

Nice location by the lake. Room has nice hot spring and nice view. Hotel provides shuttle from high speed rail stations and they check you in on the bus.

Beautiful hotel, delicious food

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights at the property. It’s secluded but a short (free) bus from the hotel to Ita Thao or you can participate in one of the many activities on site or facilitated by the property. For tourists it’s very easy to get to with a free shuttle from Taichung HSR station. The staff were extremely attentive to all of our needs - including a complicated food restriction. The facilities are amazing - we loved water world, the massage, view of sun moon lake from the room, and the FOOD was amazing. Every day we were surprised and delighted by a new experience provided by the hotel. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay - we will be back again!!
