Hotel Royal Beitou was great. Before booking, I didn’t realize the hotel was centered around “health.” The facilities and staff were great. I also liked having a private onsen. The hotel was very walkable and extremely close to the Xinbeitou station. There’s also lots of good food nearby - we walked to the Michelin rated Moon Moon Food. One issue is that they offered some classes such as yoga and massage ball therapy. They were just okay if that. The classes were only 30 minutes, which felt short. The yoga was also a bit strange as it was called “potions yoga” where you hold a cup of juice and stretch with it. While my mom was entertained, the yoga practice was not challenging for her. Additionally, the gym consisted of a ping pong table, an elliptical, and two treadmills we couldn’t use because they were broken.

The Location are great, Metro station just right across the hotel, there are so many restaurants nearby and the Beitou Park is a walking around place to visit including a Library, Museum, Plum Garden and a Thermal Valley. Enjoying the hot spring tub in the room and the breakfast comes with the prices.

The place was clean and luxurious and we had a view looking toward the mountains which was so nice from the in room tub. Overall, we enjoyed our time and felt like it was clean and in a convenient location that worked for us (in front of the xinbeitou mrt). The tub in the room had a weird, super loud draining noise, like need to cover ears, screeching high. The intro to the room was really nice. We wished that our toddler could soak or put his feet into the pools on the 12th floor but it was not allowed (not just not recommended). We ended up at the free foot spa location, but we paid to be at the hotel so that was a disappointment that wasn't clearly stated anywhere.

Location is great, right outside the train station . Loved the private bath in the hotel room. Also liked the public spa and hot spring. Wished the opening times were 24 hours though. The reception area on level 6 is not so appealing. Would prefer the reception area on the ground floor. I had the dinner and breakfast included. I expected Japanese dinner but instead it was western which was okay. Loved the breakfast buffet, it was so high quality. I would stayed again.
