Lishiuan International Hotel

I stayed in this hotel for my 1st visit to Hualien. In the Meilun region, there is one -star hotel (Meilun Hotel) and two 4-star hotels (Fullon and Li-Shiuan). I chosen Li-Shiuan because of the cheaper room rate compared with the other two before visiting. I think it is over-rated as a 4-start hotel. First, the check-in time is 4pm, which is the first hotel I have ever used with such late-check-in time. Most hotels have 2pm as the check-in time, while a few have 3pm check-in time. I arrived the hotel at about 1:20am, the lady in front desk told me I cannot check in before 4pm. My experience is that normally, one can check in at a 4-star hotel whenever a room is available. Second, the room is in good condition. However, the corridor has musty smell because air-conditioning available only for rooms. Third, there is no restaurant. The hotel is in a small building. which was not designed as a 4-start hotel. There is simply no food services. The room rate is cheap for a 4-star hotel. But it should be a 3 star or 2-start hotel.

Finding parking spaces is quite challenging.

The service over all is excellent. However, the hotel itself is may set you back 50 years. It is definety not international standard, as it is stated as part of the name of this hotel. The so call "Family Pool," is actually a dried up hot tub.

Service was good and room was generally clean. Only on the first night, the pillow had a terrible smell.

Decent value hotel a bit off center of the city by foot

The hotel room quality is very good. I will stay there, if there is another chance.

It's a nice hotel, with the aspects of its surrounding environment, hotel condition & services (laundry), breakfast, staffs, nearby foods, and easy walk to ocean side & north harbor with beautiful scene and no crowds. If there is another chance to visit Hualien, I will again live in this place. The only caution is the pickup/drop service to train station which seems not a standard service provided and you have to request when you book as well as make sure a day before your arrival in order to avoid confusion that we faced shortly but resolved eventually.

Our stay was fine. The location was not really convenient since it’s a little bit far from city center. When we first entered the room, it has bad smell so we asked for change another room immediately. The staffs were friendly and efficient, they gave us a better condition room. However, overall still recommend it.

Spacious, comfortable and convenient

We stayed 3 nights in December. The hotel is very quiet, near to the seaside.There was welcome drink which you could get in the lobby. Good varieties for breakfast. The hotel also provide pick up and transfer from/to the train station as long as you book in advance. You will need to have your transport to go around and to the city center. The cost is about NTD 130-150 to city area / Dongdamen night market. Please bring insect repellent as the black tiny mosquitos were in the room leaving itchy bite marks around our bodies.. If you forget, the hotel also lent us their electric mosquito repellent. Overall 4 star experience.

Happy stay at Lishiun hotel. Nice staff. Bed was comfortable.

Nice hotel but it’s not very close to the town. Also, not easy to get a cab (but the hotel staff will help!)

Overall clean hotel but much smaller than expected. Unimpressed with the breakfast buffet and the open sky garden. We had a minor issue with our room keys getting deactivated after the first night and we were given a previously opened bottle of water as our complimentary drink. Staff were friendly for the most part but when we requested for a shuttle to the train station we were told we needed to book that service 3 days in advance. Would try a different hotel next time.

Very friendly staff to arrange the necessities we request. The room is clean and comfort, only that is a bit far from the city if to walk on foot. Have to take cab which is about NT140

Friendly staffs, clean rooms and comfortable beds. The hotel provided free bicycle rental and we rented them in the morning to cycle towards the coast.

Hotel staff was polite and helpful. We rented bicycles provided by the hotel and went around the area towards the coast. Rooms were comfortable and clean.

Good breakfast, beautiful bathroom and comfortable bed.

We enjoyed our stay very much, the double beds are big enough for 2 pax sharing. However, the hotel slippers are too thin and slippery. I fell down in the toilet unfortunately. Overall, we are very pleased.

With many hotels to choose from, I am glad i chose this one. It is within walking distance to the port (not the beach). You can borrow bicycles from the hotel and ride down the bike path to the Pacific Ocean Park. The room is modern and clean, but a bit on the smaller side for 2 adults and 2 kids. We got the top floor and have a ocean view (though obstructed).
