Bangtao Village Resort

The room felt very basic, the bathroom didn't have much amenities, not even a hook to hang clothes, no shower curtain, plug or light above the mirror. The air con leaked water despite being at 22 or 23 as advised so we had to turn it off and a mosquito was stalking us during our stay (they are quite fast over there so hard to catch). The curtains are quite light to block daylight. Overall it feels like an old bungalow style room quickly modernized to increase the prices given the demand in the area. Not worth the price, better to pay more and go somewhere with better amenities and comfort.

Hotel staff was extremely kind and welcoming. They will help you order a scooter and schedule adventures as well. They allowed me a last minute late check out as well. Even the members who keep the greenery maintained were kind. Very happy with my stay.

Bangtao Village Resort, has traditional architecture, spacious rooms, it’s quiet, has green space & a nice pool. It is reasonably priced if you’re on a budget. My only criticism would be the beds, they are extremely hard, even for Thailand standards. The resort was helpful & added another topper to the bed, but it didn’t make much of a difference.

I really enjoyed this location. I prefer quiet places. The staff was friendly and they took care of all of my needs and bookings for tours as well as arrange transportation with better rates than a regular taxi. I thought the beds were a bit too firm for me, but that's just my preference. I would stay there again.

The vegetation was beautifully maintained. Just walking to the room was a treat. The staff was wonderful.

Amazing service and the room make-up was spotless. Slept really well every night my friends and I were there. Amenities nearby are also plentiful! Great experience and definitely recommend if you want some peace and quiet.

I liked the staff, the look of the property, , position in relation to local amenities, the gardens, bed linen and towels. I thought the furnishing in the bedroom was very shabby and worn out, the air con leaked water, only one bedside lamp which didn’t work at all, we asked it to be replaced and the second one only worked when you jiggled the wires! Value for money, I guess so, but the breakfast choice for me personally was poor, not my choices available, bread was cheapest quality available, but the staff were really lovely people

The room is ok, the AirCon worked great, the king bed was quite comfortable. The hotel staff is great, some speak good English, I think some speak Russian. This towns quite a popular Russian destination. Breakfast was good with many options. The fresh fruit selection was not as comprehensive as other places we have stayed but there was a great variety to choose from. An Vista had many European and and Vietnamese options for Breakfast. eggs prepared any way you like, Pho, 6 or 8 hot dishes, salads vegetables etc. One day there was curried crocodile. there is something for everyone. Beach beds are available to book in the morning, get to the front desk early to book. Beach towels are also available to borrow. The hotel is located on a side street one block from the beach. A great location away from the traffic and noise. There are many good paces to eat nearby. We really enjoyed the local food and services along the quiet street. Very safe to walk around at night. Maria is the hotels guest relations expert. She is very competent and speaks very good English. She can arrange any tours or outings you may desire. She is very serious about making your stay at An Vista perfect. The wifi connection at this hotel was poor, we were unable to make voice calls on skype and used our mobile phone data for Skype instead.

Great location. Great restaurants very close by. Good bars. Beach a 2 minute walk. Friendly staff. Comfy rooms. Very good stay.

I was back again after a couple of months to stay for two weeks Yes it's not flash but still has everything you need in an excellent location The staff are very friendly and make you so welcome, I guess that is a benefit of staying in a smaller place. This time my room was opposite the pool which was nice. The bed was a little hard but that is to be expected in Thailand. The shower was fantastic with good power. Beach is a short walk across the road and plenty of restaurants around the corner. Bangtao is a good place for families or those who just want to chill, opposite to Patong. I will be back!

Great location and room in a charming forest surrounding close to the beach but the bed was as hard as a rock.

This lovely small hotel could do with an upgrade however i loved my stay here and would defiantly come back. The staff are professional and friendly the room is basic but meets my needs. The shower was the best i experienced in phuket and i was in phuket for about 10 weeks. The swimming pool is great and very clean. Location is good with the beach about five minute walk away and some good restaurants around the corner. I would recommend the irish cafe as the cook knows her stuff. All in all a lovely peaceful and relaxing stay in a good value hotel. I will be back !

First impressions of the room at 9.00pm after a long day, were not exciting. However, upon reflection, it was a large space with everything we needed for four nights. If you are looking for 5 star luxury, this is not the place, but we prefer to travel moderately and more often, so it exceeded all our needs. The room was clean with great air con and serviced daily. Wi-Fi was excellent and free. The grounds are spectacular - as one other reviewer commented, it was like living in a garden! I came to truly appreciate this from the balcony which was a great spot to spend time.Staff were polite, and while some didn’t speak English well, we were still able to communicate. The bed was firm, but not in any way uncomfortable. The location is fabulous – yes, only a 5 minute walk to the beach with no major roads to cross (Google Maps did not have this hotel in the correct location!). There are also lots of shops and good restaurants close by, within an easy walk. Taxis and tuk tuks are handy too. This hotel provides a great price point, with good, clean rooms. Breakfast and lunch dishes were available at cheap prices too. I would recommend this hotel for a quiet holiday in a lovely location on Phuket, away from the crowds. We saw lots of young families staying in this area. After touring the whole island, I feel that this place is one of the best, with a clean, beautiful beach for walking and swimming, as well as shady cafes right on the beach. So glad we stayed here!
