This was our first vacay with our kids, 5&8. The lawn area, gardens & fish ponds were great. The beach club restaurant was a gem, great prices. The resort had real orchid lei making on Thursday morn for $10 & other fun events. The pools were amazing & never too full. On site grocery store, with the big Times grocery, a 2min walk away, along with Great food too. The kitchen & laundry in the room was great for us. Front desk will give you all the tide, coffee & dishwasher pods you need. My only slight negative that I feel worth mentioning is that the building is older. It’s noticeable in the walls of the rooms (like old stucco) but once you get past that, the resort is well cared for & has everything you need. We will absolutely go back & recommend you go too. Lots of families & seniors alike. We met several people you have gone back 5x which speaks volumes. It’s a little north of the free kaanapali trolley, so you might want a car but we easily walked or Uber’d ($9-15 to whalers village, but parking is $11/day at the Aston so..) We just rented a car for our last 2 days, which we were happy for. We had 8 perfect days here, airport beach is just to the south, walk to the middle & the snorkeling is fantastic! Eels & turtles!

We were pleasantly surprised at about this resort. First off, receiving the Expedia gold upgrade was amazing!! Received a huge 2300 sf 2 bedroom suite with a wraparound oceanfront deck. Just sitting on the deck with the waves at the shore was a highlight of our trip! The facility had all that we needed and was right across the street from grocery/pharmacy and had a food truck area every night with great food. The restaurant at the hotel was also very good, and we loved that there was a bar to have drinks while laying at the pool.

Whenever I’m in Maui, I’ll always stay at Kaanapali Shores. Staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are clean and the rooms are very comfortable.

This property is wonderful for families and couples wanting to get away and relax. We had a wonderful time, loved all of the amenities the room offered (washer/dryer, full kitchen, bathroom toiletries, etc.) and the staff were amazing. Concierge holds an early morning meeting to give you all the scoop on what Maui offers and we were able to get in on an amazing snorkeling tour to Molokini Crater. Will definitely refer this to all friends/families. Thank you Aston Kaanapali!

I really love everything on my stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside I will say is that you don’t have housekeeping(you’ll pay extra as a request). But other than that my husband and I really enjoy all the amenities. I would recommend staying in this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the Aston Kaanapali Shores! The staff was very friendly & helpful. The grounds were well maintained and the pool/bar restaurant was great! Many kids, however, which did make it quite noisy & not so relaxing, but it was fine. The rooms are a bit dated, but did suffice and we had everything we needed to make us comfortable.

This property is a charming quintessential vintage Hawaiian hotel. The suite we were given was clean and comfortable with a sizable kitchen. The washer and dryer in the condo allowed us to launder our swimsuits after swimming which was quite convenient. The ocean view from the right side of our balcony and from the bedroom were nice. The hotel staff were all welcoming and full of the aloha spirit. The pool near the beach was nice and warm. The beach had strong currents so we didn’t swim in the ocean but saw some whales while relaxing in the beach daybed. The restaurant on property serves good food and drinks. Overall, we would return here.
