Beautiful unit, very well equipped and maintained. In the jungle. A pleasure to wake up with the sounds of nature,. Great location to move around and explore the island from. Our unit was upstairs, and very quiet.

We stayed in the Bamboo suite. We were pleasantly suprised and mindblown by how well maintained this property was. The whole space was just gorgeous and conveniently located close to the airport and at a perfect halfway point to either the west or east side of the island. Lots of greenery and rain so it stayed on the cooler side compared to the west side of the island.

I recently stayed at Bamboo Valley Inn, and while I had high hopes based on its charming description, my experience fell short in several areas. First, I was disappointed to find that the claim of “breakfast included” was misleading. Upon arrival, I learned that no breakfast was provided, which was a significant letdown, especially since I had planned my mornings around enjoying a meal at the inn. This lack of transparency regarding amenities needs to be addressed. Additionally, I encountered a tray in living room meant for snacks, but it was filled with expired items, including bars and half-and-half milk, raising concerns about food safety and indicating a lack of attention to detail. Expired on 2023? February 2024? Another inconvenience was the absence of phone connectivity on the property; only Wi-Fi was available. While some guests may prefer to disconnect, it was frustrating to be unable to make calls or access cellular data when needed, which could be problematic for navigation or emergencies. While the setting of Bamboo Valley Inn is beautiful and the ambiance lovely, these issues significantly detracted from my overall experience. I believe that with better communication regarding amenities and improved attention to food safety and connectivity, this inn could truly shine. For now, I advise potential guests to be aware of these shortcomings before booking their stay.

An amazing hideaway in the North Shore! Peaceful and restful. Our room was bigger than expected with all the amenities. Owners did a great job ensuring it was very clean & with access to beach chairs & coolers.

We stayed in the Bamboo Suite. If you're looking for a romantic and adventurous stay in Maui away from the throngs of tourists, this is your spot. Easy jumping off point to the road to Hana and the volcano sunset/sunrise (both MUST do's when on the island.) Its also close to cute upcountry towns, our favorite was Makawao. There are pretty beaches nearby with turtles and surfers, but its windy especially in the afternoon. You will need to drive 40-60 minutes to the calmer beaches on the West and South side of the island.Having a luxurious spacious place to come home to was worth the scenic drive on our beach days. Place comes with everything you need for a beach day including beach chairs and a cooler (no umbrella or refreezable ice packs for the cooler so if you have room, pack those or check with Tom and Vicki if they've added thise). They are SUPER responsive hosts who live in another house nearby. You'll likely never see them, but they answered texts quickly. If you do the sunset/surise, bring the chairs-and warm clothes! Other notes: Wifi is super spotty, we were never able to stream anything, but gave us more time to connect as humans. Kitchen is nice, but not much of a pantry. Bring or buy your own spices/oil. GREAT shower. GREAT AC. GREAT shared lanai and gas grill. Never saw a cat or horse, but heard lots of birds amidst our peaceful jungle view.

Absolutely amazing place to stay! Tom and Vicki put a lot of thought into the amenities and were easy to communicate with. HIGHLY recommend this place if you’re looking to stay just slightly off the beaten path. Loved the balcony, loved the closeness to Hana Hwy, and loved that we had a quiet, spacious, beautiful home to return to every evening after full days of exploring Maui. And the bed….omg! Was actually sad to return to our own bed after this stay! Thank you, Tom and Vicki for an excellent vacation!

It's a little out of town so you won't pop back and forth throughout the day- big inside area with nice kitchen with dishwasher on a well kept pretty property. We cooked breakfast daily and ate on the patio. There's a complimentary washer/dryer, 2 bedrooms, great water pressure with hot water, a comfy living room, beach towels and accessories, a dedicated parking spot by the door, and all of the creature comforts from home. We like to take a break during the day so I might stay in Kehei next visit, otherwise this was a wonderful place to stay with helpful hosts!
