Truly the perfect stay. My mother and I traveled to NYC to celebrate her 60th and I cannot think of a better hotel to have stayed at. The hospitality and accommodations felt genuine and were immediate. The Broadway-theme is exactly what Midtown needs and now this will be my go-to rooming for future trips to the city. If I had to even slightly nitpick, I’d say perhaps a tiny bit more light in the room and a larger trash basket - which are the most minuscule things, but truly everything else was perfect. Food in the kitchen was delicious and the expedition for theater-goers is not only understood but encouraged. Whatever you’re doing now, don’t change it! You will be successful for years and years to come.

Each & every employee was friendly & knowledgeable. They were more than willing to help in any capacity & I felt that they genuinely enjoyed working there & were invested in their guests. They sent text messages to make sure your stay was going well. Even before you checked in, you got text messages & email trying to get to know what you expected for your visit. I felt like they all were interested in making your visit special.

At my recent stay at the CIVILIAN, I found it to be a convenient cozy boutique like hotel, my queen bedroom was very cozy but tight in space. The hotel/room was very clean host were very friendly & helpful! The communication was very thorough on app in person. The only take away was I wish there were more amenities provided & the bathroom layout could’ve been designed better. Nonetheless, I had a good time

Very unique decor, felt like I was in The Great Gatsby! Very clean, friendly staff, right near Times Square and Broadway but surprisingly quiet, and far enough away so that its not bright at night. Great food and drink options in and outside hotel. Would stay again!

Amazing stay! We came into town for a show and picked this hotel because of the general vibe and look. It exceeded my expectations! It was so beautiful and we especially loved the blue room! I loved the martini happy hour. The service was excellent. Everyone was so friendly. The room was very comfy and cozy.

I loved my stay at Civilian, it is close to the subway, and so many attractions - such as Times Square, Broadway, Rockerfeller Centre - all within a 5-10 minute walk. The rooms are compact, but perfect for a solo person. There is little room for hanging clothes which was the only dissapointment. A great place to stay - and would definately stay there again.

I stayed at Civilian with my Dad this past weekend, and we had a great experience. We flew into JFK, and it was an easy airtrain and subway ride to 50th street to get to the hotel. Upon our arrival, We were greeted by Jesus, who gave us some great restaurant recommendations. He also upgraded our room to a spacious double. The room was well appointed and clean. We were on the 22nd floor and had a great view of the Hudson I also really appreciated the hydration stations; it made it very easy to stay hydrated We traveled to see a play, and Civilian was only 3 minutes away on foot. We also walked to Central Park and the Met. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. Overall, we had a great time, and I would definitely stay at Civilian again.
