Everything was wonderful, staff was excellent

The beds were comfortable. Amazing shower bathtub. The indoor pool was actually warm and you could swim outside. Free game room for kids. Excellent breakfast

This is a nice quiet and clean place to stay when we visit in St. Louis. They have a full breakfast buffet with omelets and waffles made to order. The staff is always very friendly. It is close to Forest park area.

This was the one of the least expensive options in the area, so I didn't have high expectations. It was great. I slept well, the room was clean, the bathroom was very nice. The view (of the parking garage) left a little to be desired. The breakfast was just ok, but it was free so I have no complaints. I would stay here again if I were in the area!

Hotel is nice, conveniently located in a bustling area. I always love visiting downtown St. Louis and was excited to stay in a new hotel as this was my first time at the Clayton. Ended up disappointed in the staff and service. Staff put the receipt under my door at 4:00am. I am a light sleeper so woke me up! Why so early. 6:00am seems more reasonable. Major bummer, def did not plan to be up at 4am! Ugh. Second - When staying downtown I always call to check out parking as I often travel with my pup or kids and like to make sure that the garage is close and reasonably priced. Front desk said that they validate parking and it is only $12, great I thought! The clerk was not clear on their validation process when explaining it over the phone and while I thought it was odd to bring the paid parking ticket to the desk at checkout, I paid when exiting the garage, per the phone rep, and took the time to actually check out so that I could get it validated (I never actually check out unless getting validation). Clerk was rude and told me that I should have brought the ticket to her BEFORE paying. I tried to explain my conversation but she was rude and somewhat aggressive so I left wo validation. Called to speak to the mng later in the day and she never called back. Terrible service won't be back. Too bad because hotel was nice.

room was very nice... parkiing deck is a maze as always.... breakfast was not quite as good as i'd remembered it. same stuff every day. oatmeal was at the bottom of the pot... omelette was very good though, as always

The parking is a little bit of a hassle as you have to get your ticket validated, every time you go in or out, but other than that everything was great. Great customer service and nice, clean rooms.

There was some remodeling going on but the staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. Will definitely look to stay again if I'm in the area

The Clayton Plaza was a fantastic experience! Traveling with our teen daughters. The staff was so friendly. It was clean- no “hotel smell” that you get with carpeted rooms. My oldest and w can be a bit neurotic about germs and have never felt as comfortable in a hotel as this one. The SHOWER! My daughters thought it was the best part! Ok breakfast was a close second. Finally parking was easy and feee. You do need to get your ticket stamped so you aren’t charged every time you leave and if I have anything that wasn’t fantastic it would be that process only because I could see how easy it would be to forget. I made a habit to go straight to the desk for validation as soon as I returned to the hotel. If we ever go back to St. Louis, we will stay there again.

Omelets, fried eggs and waffles made to order at breakfast were a highlight. This hotel was an amazing value for the price. They are remodeling but it did not impact our stay at all. Covered garage parking with in and out for $6 a day. Pool looked clean although we did not use. Temperature controls in room were responsive. Our room had a Moen electronic control shower which was super cool. Our floor was basically quiet my only suggestion for the hotel is to work on soundproofing, could hear noise from hallways, perhaps at bottom of doors? Very satisfied, would return here in a heartbeat

This hotel exceeded our expectations! We are traveling with dogs and it is difficult to find hotels that allow pets. This is by far the nicest pet friendly hotel we have encountered. The room was clean and comfortable. The lobby is absolutely stunning. Every employee we interacted with was helpful and friendly. The price was very affordable. We actually paid the same rate the night before in South Dakota for a smelly gross room. This hotel was quite literally a breath of fresh air.

I stayed over night here because I had a plumbing emergency and this hotel was the closest to my house.

Luxury ant an affordable price. The garage parking and wonderful hot breakfast are great freebies. Only thing is I don’t like the fake wood floors. Doesn’t go with the luxury hotel. Can’t do my exercises in the morning or before bed at night. I understand there are some rooms that have carpeting that cost more. Next time I will ask for one.

This hotel was perfect for what we needed. Great location, staff pleasant. Breakfast was good. Would stay here again!

There was no heating in the room and it was freezing. It was terrible, to say the least. I was not able to adjust the heating because the thermostat was not working. And there were no maintenance people at night to help with that.
