Place is not terrible for the price paid at the time of booking.

The woman in the office was awesome. She went above and beyond, to let us check in early. Super friendly. I think she was the manager. This really made a difference. Sometimes it's the little stuff that makes a BIG impression.

Front office is not 24 hrs, late check-in is a problem. We had to pay a fee.

room was fine. clean and close to beach. shower handle was loose so water was burning.. noone around to help ..lucky i figured it out. parking is a major problem here spaces are crazy tight and there was a trailer blocking on the street. we asked the front desk if we should leave our keys as there are cars all over the lot.. we were told no its fine.. we get to beach try settle in and i looked at my phone 8 missed calls askng to move my car.. i was extremely annoyed... they when we were leavin the obstacle course to get my car out. advice stay here park somewhere else

Liked the location. Did not really like the service.

I love the shower and how quiet the area was. We could walk to the boardwalk. We enjoyed our stay.

The parking lot was horrible, the parking space is so narrow that you take the chance to hit a car or be hit by another car

The room was super small because we booked through a third party. If we had brought our kids I’m not sure what we would’ve done. We had to put our suitcase on the second bed and live out of it while there since there wasn’t any storage for our clothes. The bathroom was clean, however; there was methane smell coming from the shower that they knew about. The patking was awful, you are expected to back in which is fine if the lot actually allowed for this type of parking. The other part that I consider to be not great, is that my mother passed away just a few weeks before our trip and we tried to cancel but would’ve had to forfeit the entire cost of the trip because they were hard set on no refunds. I would’ve provided her obituary to prove she passed since I’m sure other people probably lie using this as a reason tk cancel.

Nicely updated rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Parking is free but very tight. Well worth the money paid.

The lady that checked me in was very personable and informative. The room was just as the pictures showed and was well equipped. I would suggest better window covering for a darker room when sleeping.

Tiny room opened directly on public sidewalk; no furniture but bed; no lamps; no closet; hanging rack above bed; irritating perfume from plug-in took hours to clear with fan (in a room described as ADA- compliant); bed made with only flat sheets, & no blanket on bed; pillows were just tiny mounds of shredded foam with pillowcases tucked tightly around to bind them; parking so tight they had to direct us into space, once parked the doors could barely open wide enough for luggage—in a.m., around 7:45, (on our way to catch a ferry) our car was blocked by a car the hotel had parked in front of ours. the office was locked, we called the posted # & were told “we don’t open till 8:00” & finally were let out 15 minutes later after receptionist came & had to find the key, At over 200.00 after taxes and fees, this room was almost a total ripoff! And good luck getting a refund from hotels.com—they gave me such a runaround when I first found out the room was on the ground floor after having requested a 2nd or 3rd floor that I won’t bother.

The rooms are smaller than the look in the pictures and bathroom even smaller

We had a great weekend stay at Coastal Inn. Conveniently located two blocks away from the boardwalk. Staff were friendly. They accommodated us during check in and made the whole process easier for us. We would definitely stay there again on future visits.
