DoubleTree by Hilton Salt Lake City Airport

The hotel was very clean. The staff was friendly. The location is only 5 minutes driving to the airport.

Staff were absolutely delightful. The front desk offers cookies and they had an allergy friendly cookie option!!! (I'm allergic to soy and wheat) Check in was easy and everyone was friendly. The bed was very comfortable, (on the soft side which for me is very comfortable) the room was serviceable and clean, just showing its age in places. I missed having a microwave since I often struggle to find places I can eat, but the mini fridge was on and working fine. They offer long term parking which we used without issue for our week long vacation. Shuttle drivers were nice and the shuttle started as early as 4am. There is a restaurant and a coffee shop in the hotel. The restaurant is comfy with a bar and serves very tasty food. They were able to accommodate my allergies during regular food service hours, however they were unable to after 10 pm when they switch to a pared down late night menu. Soy was my big problem but they did have a burger with a gluten free bun for those just concerned with gluten.

Was in a bit of an industrial/warehouse area. No shopping options. While a pool was available, there was no hot tub which is more appealing in Dec than a pool, especially after vigorous outdoor activity. The breakfast was probably better than "free" breakfasts elsewhere but really didn't have much of a choice with no other facilities nearby. I passed on it altogether.
