Glenmore Plaza Hotel

Wonderful spot! Everyone we interacted with was kind and welcoming. They upgraded our room, and allowed us to store our bags there before check-in and after check-out

Amazing place

Pretty close to everything so we walked everywhere. The staff were excellent: friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself was not bad for an old hotel. The rooms were clean. However, it is pretty loud outside at night because there is a little bit of night life (not sure if it was because it was the holiday season or it is like that all year round - although I did read some reviews about it). But the noise was bearable and we didn’t really need to get up early so it was ok. Overall, a great stay. PS. they provide bottled water - definitely take them because you have to purchase them everywhere else.

It was at a convenient location. The hotel staff were friendly and very sweet. We left a phone and Shaun ( front desk) went above and beyond to have it flown back to Long Beach.

A perfect location to stay and the view outside the hotel was great, conveniently reached there, amenities were easily accessible. It was a great experience and worth staying there in Glenmore hotels, highly recommendable to others. Thank you :)

The location was perfect for walking around Avalon. The room was clean and comfortable. Our first night we had a track team full of teenagers above us so we could hear them running around the hallways but after they left it was quiet all night. The staff was very friendly and attentive- fresh coffee in the lobby in the morning.

This hotel is a Landmark Hotel with Real Wood Real History and service with updated plumbing Internet TV convenience and luxury. i laugh when i see reviews that the hotel is dated lol It should be dated to its grand excellence of its history. The owner was very gracious and accommodating anticipating every need even offered a hand to help with our luggage’s . No continental breakfast restaurant just a short walk away. The breakfast restaurant just a short block a way the best eggs Benedict i have ever eaten. Catalina Island Avalon Wonderful. We will be back soon and will probably stay here at this fine hotel. No its not the Hilton nor is it the Mc Donalds either it tge experience.

Great location. Clean. Historic hotel. Close to everything. No elevator. No breakfast

The staff was Amazing. The check-in Guy was approachable, laid back, and calm. We were upgraded to a suite; the room was terrific. The A/C worked, the restroom was excellent, the bed was huge, and the view of the town was amazing. Close to the restaurants and the Von’s store. Everything is within walking distance.

Let me start by saying that this location is INCREDIBLE! 1 block from the beach, right next to restaurants and so much more! The young woman who worked the front desk was friendly and welcoming. We appreciated her so much! The other folks, not so much. The room was standard, but incredibly disappointing. The furniture was visibly old and stained. The bed was sinking in the middle. The bathroom has an odor of a portapotty and there were brown stains next to the toilet. The towel rail was broken; there was a piece of the metal rail just sticking out. Yikes. We were so excited for the jets in the tub. Guess what? They didn’t work. The best part? There was no elevator so we got a nice workout carrying our luggage up and down flights of steps. I really wish I would have read the reviews before booking as I saved for months for this trip and was disappointed with the stay we had. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this hotel nor would we come back.
