Location is what attracted us. Easy access to beach. The willingness of the staff/Artemi to make sure we liked our room and fixing toilet immediately, the deck, the pool, the porch, the hall made up for a couple of maintenance issues. The beds were comfortable which is important. The room was clean. Samantha made us omelettes for breakfast which were delicious. Very pleasant lady ready to make your breakfast special. OVERALL we liked our stay.

The location is beautiful. The property is saying fairly rundown. They checked me into a dirty room and then had me wait in the lobby while they cleaned it. There is no security, locks, or desk person in the middle of the building. Anyone can just walk inside and the rooms have interior doors only. Not secure at all. The carpets are stained and ruined. It is being advertised as a resort and spa and there is no services available at all.

Loved the vibe, cozy, and comfortable. Very sweet, helpful, and accommodating staff doing everything they could to make it special. Some things were out of their control like TV wasnt working but other than that it was a nice stay. I will stay there again for sure.

Only thing I like was is location & person who was working inside mother & daughter Samantha & Summer they were great , but like I said its not Resort its more like Bed & Breakfast kind a thing, pics of properties are so old then realty. I had Suite which has great Balcony but railing are so Rustic you can t feel like touching and the door open to balcony so heavy and cant slide BCS it was broken, I would definitely recommend someone to stay but don't expect a resort ,BCS its not pool water was not clean enough either. they need some maintenance in property roof above my room was damaged and was open from the front also. but overall people who was working they are so awesome and make you feel special and Samantha made a great Breakfast for us .

Location is fantastic. It is not my idea of a “resort” by any means. The property needs some TLC in landscaping and the door keypad wasn’t working. All the utility doors were unlocked, being in the ‘main building, if we got locked out, we had to cut through upstairs then around to our room. The bed was comfortable. Pillows were great. And, they gave you plenty. Our room was changed because we had our dog (which was on the reservation), which was fine. Until it was time for dinner. The kitchen facilities were right by our room doors. When we arrived, we were given a key and that was it. No WiFi info, no idea where to get ice, no idea about checking out, no info about breakfast, other rules, nothing. I like the laid back feel but I kinda felt like they were ‘flying by the seat of their pants.” It was just an odd experience. The lady was very nice though. She seemed a tad overwhelmed. Our room was very clean. It, however, didn’t have a TV (our original room that we reserved did). There was no thermostat control so while the hallway was freezing, the room was pretty warm. We couldn’t open the windows to get the benefit of the great, cool sea breeze because there are no screens. The pergola area and pool looked exactly like the pictures, however, a bit more worn. But a beautiful setup, nonetheless. I would definitely not stay in the same room. I probably wouldn’t stay again at all because this is WAY overpriced for what you actually get.

The place is rundown, old and rusty. No maintenance is done to any of the pool or balcony suite. I don't recommend to anyone but is your personal preference. This place is worst from motel.

To start, the room wasn’t ready, when we got in there, it smelled like mold which we then saw around the air vents. There was no toilet paper, went to the office and couldn’t find anyone in sight. There was another person trying to check in and he tried calling a number he found online. We saw someone’s eaten takeout just left out in the open and exposed in the kitchen. The building looked like it was really nice at some point but it hasn’t been painted and maintained, leaves in the bottom of the pool, rust railings that didn’t look like they would hold themselves up, let alone a human. The complimentary coffee in the lobby was cold and it looked like they stole a sleeve of cups from Waffle House. All of this I would expect of a room for $50 a night, but not $260!!!

We spent our wedding anniversary in Flagler Beach and stayed at this place. Got the romantic room, arrived at 4PM on Saturday and paid almost $300 for one night for this stay. AVOID this place at all cost. Please save yourself, your sanity and hard earned money. One of the worst places we stayed. We don't want to ruin our special day so we left early and see the beautiful sunrise. PROs: - Location is great. few steps away from the beach and have good restaurants nearby within 5-8 mins walk. CONs: - ROOM will welcome you with a very strong musty odor. Everything feels moldy, cold, dump and wet. - no front desk available. One employee will meet you at the driveway and give you the keys with no instructions. - no free bottled water at the fridge. - breakfast will be available starts at 9AM, we left early. - TV was unplugged so we need to move the console to plug and turn it on. - AC was very noisy the whole time and AC control is not available in the room. - We contacted their guy to fix the TV connection before 6PM and texted us back that he will fix it the next morning. So ended up without TV and internet connection during the stay. - Room tub is old and ugly, so don't bother to use it.

Great experience. This is like a bed and breakfast with more of an upscale private room feel. we really enjoyed staying here. Expect friendly staff, amazing views, and trendy looking rooms. Don’t expect a hotel front desk. This is not a chain. It’s a hidden gem at the beach. The breakfast was made to order and fabulous with ocean view.

Interesting experience. The positives: was very close and convenient to the beach. Was quiet and I felt safe. The negatives: dated (think circa 1970’s) and lack of onsite staff. Did not even attempt to get breakfast because I didn’t even see any staff activity in and around the property. Not sure what would’ve happened if I did have a need or request. Was sent a text with directions to the property and to my room. Different. All in all, for the money, this is a hard pass for future consideration.

PROS: - Beach is right there. Can't beat the location. - 24/7 access to the sauna. CONS: - This place is less a resort and more a tiny Event Center/Restaurant, so if you're in one of the 3 rooms attached to the kitchen, prepare for noise from the breakfast crew or if they have a private party, or, say a wedding, like what happened during our stay. Our room was adjacent to the prep kitchen so when events were happening, we were surrounded by clanging of pot, plates, people. Also, the smell of food constantly crept into the room. At the end of the day, we spent most of our time out of the room to enjoy the surroundings but Golden Magnolia should communicate that to people. None of these things were told to us up front so I thought it was a joke when they first showed us our room and seeing how it's just attached to the prep kitchen. Never seen anything like it before. Didn't love having all these strangers coming and going right outside my door and it's cheap locks. - There's not an on site representative of the"resort," just a phone number to call or text with, which seemed weird for a resort. The staff working there, only work for the kitchen or cleaning for certain hours of the day. I had to help another couple figure out how to check into their room bc no one was present to help them. - Pool had to be cleaned by the people staying at the resort.

The location was amazing. But the grounds needed a lot of upkeep and the rooms were in rough shape. There was water damage on most walls and the ceiling, holes in the walls and I definitely would stay here again. There was no legit check in or check out process.
