The initial great impression was the front desk team member ! She was very friendly and helpful!! The facilities were very clean! Fitness center was small, but still definitely had a nice variety of equipment ! We will stay again! Location was close to the Richmond convention center - about 10-15 mins. Parking was easy and close. No loud noises at night .

The hotel looks newly renovated. Everything looked clean and in very good condition. The dining area has a good variety of seating and large screen TVs. Several eateries are in walking distance (Chipotle, Panera, Chick-fil-A, etc.).

The interior of the facility is exceptional.
Parking is not convenient for the check in process. One must either drive around or walk around the building.
I was told this is due to the fact walk-ins/homeless-like people would just come inside.
My room (after expressing my disdain of walking around the building to enter/check-in) was a room previously smoked in.
Breakfast was solid.
Would I come back again? No.

The walls are paper thin. I was able to hear every word of phone conversations (and other activities) in the room next door. I was awakened at 5am by a yapping dog in another adjacent room.

Stayed for two nights and housekeeping never came to clean room. Only one of two elevators were working. Not good for an 8 story building. Unruly kids pressing buttons for each floor on the one working elevator was not amusing. Hotel was dirty and smelled like marijuana. Expected better from Holiday Inn.
