Homewood Suites by Hilton Newark-Wilmington South Area

Unfortunately the faucet in the shower dripped badly nonstop.

Overall it was a nice hotel, the cleanliness and spaciousness of the room was nice, however the pool was unbearable and that's really what my kids wanted to enjoy. The pool area was overwhelming with chlorine to the point the kids were choking and eyes were burning. Literally had to make them get out for the sake of their health. Hotel advertises 90 degree temp in the poor area but it was freezing and the ceiling was dripping all over (very unsanitary). Would not stay here again due to this experience.

Room had a lot of mechanical noise and smoke detector lights flashed. Hard to sleep. May have just been a bad room. Otherwise was comfortable.

Everything was great

We stayed in the 2 queen suite. It’s the best dollar per square footage around, 600 vs 350. Had separate bedroom and living room with a kitchenette. Quiet room and quiet halls. Breakfast was good. They had breakfast taco items.

Dirty room. Used towels on back of door. Requested trashbags never came Charged me on expedia and my personal card. Come to find out the room was cheaper at the front desk. Expedia said no price compare.

The staff was great but our room had dirty handprints on the wall, long hair in the bathroom. There was mildew all over the bathroom. I mean it served our needs as a place to stay a night but i just think it could have been cleaner.

The room was spacious, comfortable bed, i was really impressed with the shower, the kitchen area and everything that was needed for a wonderful stay.

No blankets for the extra bed. Poor customer service. Room was dirty and furniture and walls seems like has no been clean in a while with multiple stains. No worth the price for the night

This hotel is just fine for a visit to Newark. I read some unfair reviews of this property concerning conditions and I can unequivocally say that our room was clean and in good condition with a large screen TV and king-sized bed. I have no complaints about the hotel.

The hotel was fine for our one night stay but the bathroom was very outdated and the shower pressure was non existent

Furniture outdated with wear & tear. Bed is very comfortable.

Overall the stay was pretty decent

We had a great stay. The staff is absolutely WONDERFUL at this location. From the time of check-in the the check-out, the staff truly was wonderful. The breakfast crew was one of the nicest groups of people. I truly enjoyed seeing their smiling faces. Also, the breakfast spread was definitely above others that I’ve had. They had the typical things, but also had things that I’ve never seen at a hotel breakfast area, such as overnight oats, chia pudding, different style potatoes each morning, some flavorful options to add to your breakfast. Would definitely stay again. Only downside is that they now have a $250 security deposit.

There is no pool despite the online property description. Found this out at check in. We asked for an extra blanket and the hotel didn't have any. Just made for a disappointing experience.

Suite was quiet. There were spots on the carpet. The cleaning solution made the entryway and kitchen area very tacky. Shoes sticking. Could not walk on with socks or bare feet. Rooms were neat and bed made up every two days of stay. Bathroom and bedroom area clean. Would stay there again.
