Nice hotel. Breakfast choices were great. Wish the hotel bar area was more like a sports bar lounge. Walking distance to SJ theatres were a plus.

Hotel is nice and staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and bathroom is fine. The only negative, and it was a BIG one, is that the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Hard mattress with worn out pillows, terrible night sleep.

This property was perfect for a 1 night stay in San Jose. It was a 15 minute walk from SAP center and 10 minute walk from some great restaurants in the San Pedro district. Some aspects of the room were slightly dated but you could tell a lot of renovations had been made. The staff were friendly and the continental breakfast was much better than expected! We had a quality breakfast before our train ride home.

Only 1 out of the 3 elevators were working during our entire stay. We were located on the 7th floor so stairs were not an easy option. One of the front desk staff was rude and said our room wasn’t ready yet, but other families came after us and got their room before us while we just waited in the lobby.

When I arrived for the pre-paid stay (guaranteeing the room and not allowing me to cancel for any reason) at 4pm, I was told by front desk staff that he had "bad news for me". The hotel had overbooked, and the two double-bed room was unavailable; I could either take a king bed or cancel the reservation. As there were four of us (incl. two teenagers), there was no way a single large bed was going to work. Then the reservation desk told me that the problem wouldn't have happened if I booked direct instead of through Expedia and they couldn't tell me about the problem since they didn't have my information. Which was strange as the hotel managed to send me three messages before my arrival describing hotel features and one in the past 24 hours (all through Expedia) asking how my stay was. Now Hyatt is making me fight for my money back (again, because it was pre-paid not like a typical cancellation) due to their terrible booking system and crappy communication. Though I've stayed at this property before, I will not go back.
