We were charged an amenity fee ($10) every day we were there (this was a surprise to us and was not disclosed earlier). We asked what the amenity fee was for and front desk lady sounded frustrated by our question and said "I really don't know". Our bathroom was mostly clean but there was some hair on the floor; There was also stomping on the top floor till 2 AM and very early in the morning (5am) on 2/4 nights we were there.. we realize that is not the hotels fault but note that it can be noisy if the people above you are loud.

It was clean, convenient location.
Pet friendly place, I could hear dogs barking from other rooms. I could hear people's foot steps during night from rooms above.
The front desk looked nothing like website displayed. No bars in the hotel. the picture of the bar was "neighbors" picture.
After Bourbon street attack, the hotel put key access to the front door to the hotel, but they kept door open, no point for key access. The elevator was not equipped to key access either, anyone from the street can come into the hotel. I didn't feel safe.

We really enjoyed our stay at La Galerie. Goes without saying, but the location is the best you get for visiting New Orleans. Most of the attractions are within walking distances. We only had to use the car one day to visit uptown and Magazine street. The parking is also conveniently located a block away, which is a huge plus for the busy area. Staff were friendly, hotel was clean and lived yp to the expectations.

We complained about the our room being beside the elevator. We did not sleep either night due to the noise from the elevator. Even after we complained about the room they never offered to relocate us to another room (even though their were people checking out). The air conditioner vent faced the bed and now I am sick from the air vent blowing directly in my face. This was supposed to be a VIP suite and our room faced a wall and nothing but a noisy elevator all night long. I am not one to complain but I will never stay at this hotel again. I would like to request a full refund.

The property its self was great. Excellent place for the money and great location. The only problem I have with this place was all the hidden fees that were charged to my card after check in with out an explanation. So what ever the price that is listed on Expedia add about $200 dollars in hidden fees to that.

The location is perfect. However if you want a room that sleeps 3. It is terrible. The furniture size was too big and we had to move things around in other room to make the 3rd bed. The owner needs to not advertise a king suite that sleps 3 or 4.

The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The service was very friendly and conversational. Everything I needed was case by. The restaurants were within steps form the hotel. I am safe to have come here a week before the horrific events that took place on Bourbon Street. I had a beautiful Christmas holiday. :)

Had no liquid soap. Noticed as we were showering. Used the bar soap instead. Room could use better cleaning. Parking is an 8 min walk from location.
