Staff and hotel were exceptional

Too noisy due to construction. You can't open even the balcony door and access the balcony. so frustrated.

Ongoing maintenance was an issue around the pool as the loud jackhammers and grinding on concrete.

This was the worst vacation of my life! The reviews written on the Internet are not true! It all started when we arrived, checked in, and were given the key to the room. When we got to the floor where the room was, it stank very strongly of old and mold, there was a very specific smell! When we approached the door of our room, there was a large gap at the top of the door to the room, and when I opened the door, a strong smell of dampness hit my nose! I was disappointed! When my family and I entered the room, we were disappointed! We paid for a normal vacation! I didn’t buy the cheapest room. When we entered, all the furniture was very old and beaten! The curtains were very dirty! The carpet stank and was stained and very dirty! I was very angry, the water they brought to the room in bottles there were three bottles, and one of them was open and there was only half a bottle of water I opened it and sniffed and there was probably tap water or very old because it stank I threw the bottle away not drinking the unknown water. but my family and I were very tired after the road and we decided that we would just sleep and then ask why we had such a bad room. We woke up in the evening and there was no electricity in the room, but later the electricity flickered, the air conditioner was humming a lot and it was uncomfortable! The next day we woke up in the room there was still no electricity, I went to the reception to ask why I had such a bad and smelly room and why there was no elect

We absolutely loved our stay at the Moana Surfrider! The hotel is stunning, with a perfect mix of historical charm and modern luxury. The beachfront location is unbeatable. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and every detail was taken care of to make our trip special. We can’t wait to come back!

Upon checking in, they wanted us to stay in a room I didn’t book. I upgraded and the front desk personnel told us he’d give us 2 days of free buffet breakfast. I didn’t care about it, but the fact is do not promise that if you are going to NOT do it. Never given it. Power went out second day for over 5 hours… staff was rude. Hotel was okay. Being a gold Bonvoy member and a frequent traveler, I’m disappointed. Beach was horrible due to construction sounds.

Beautiful hotel, especially the old section. The new high rises are an eyesore. Very classy place.

Nice place but the week I stayed hotel was under construcción unfortunately all day long was super noise in the room as well in the pool or patio restaurant 🙁🙁

The person that picked up the phone was pretty rude, and so were some of the outdoor bar staff. The seating staff at the patio dining area were nice - wish the service staff would've been friendlier

Great location, can't beat it. People are friendly, pool area is good, beach is nice. No complaints on anything. Restaurants are extremely expensive and rooms are way too small. Property is beaten up, carpets needs a chance. Ambience of the property is so nice. There is a positive vibe in this place, this is our first visit and we really liked it. They need to upgrade the property and increase the room sizes.

There is a reason we consistently return to this hotel. It embodies everything we think we want from a Hawaiian vacation. If there was an option for a sixth star for staff friendliness and service this would be an easy choice.

Loud construction on property during weekdays and balconies are inaccessible.

I recently stayed at your hotel and wanted to share my thoughts. The hotel itself is lovely, with a rich history that adds charm to the visit. However, I encountered some challenges with the customer service at the reception. The staff member I spoke with had a less-than-helpful attitude when explaining the billing system, which made the process frustrating. On a positive note, the individual at the buffet was exceptionally nice and friendly, providing a warm and pleasant experience. Improving the customer service at the reception could enhance the overall guest experience.

Very central and easy access to transportation and shopping and dining. Very nice staff! Great views to the ocean . Pool was small but ocean was perfect! Great breakfast buffet!
