Napa Discovery Inn

Once I arrived for my two bed room , the lady on the front desk was so rude and noisy denied our stay due to not putting 4 ppl where staying in the room when is obvious that in a two bed room 4 ppl can stay in a 2 bedroom room .

Surprised. Pictures don’t match property. Breakfast just cereal. Tiny breakfast room only one person can fit at one time. This will be the first and last time I will stay here. I will not recommend this motel to anyone.

The room was smelly and dirty upon our arrival, the beds were littered with dark black hair - the three of us are blonde - and there were so many stains in and on the beds. It was incredibly clear that the room was not cleaned properly and we had to make the decision to stay somewhere else last minute.

Quiet

Old second hand furniture with rotten wood, broken screen so window couldn’t be opened, breakfast terrible - don’t even try the coffee. Very stuffy room. Manager unhelpful. Vastly overpriced trailer camp atmosphere. My room on the edge of a paddock. I would never consider staying there again. However it WAS clean and quiet. Bed ok but you’ll wish you were home

Looked nicer online. Close for driving in Napa. Front desk owners were super nice. Bed i sunk in on one side so I think springs gone. And woke up before 7am to someone doing construction next door and music loud. Fine I guess if you’re in and out.

DO NOT GO TO SHIS FILTHY DUNGEON. This Inn is one the dirties rooms you will see in your entire life. Hairs on the pillow case, dirt on the walls. Just see the pictures. The pictures shown to you are not the real ones. Contacted hotels.com to find out that they are generous enough to compensate for $50 out of $300! we ended up going to San Fran and stayed at Royal Clif for $120.

I used Expedia, which I presumed (erroneously) was a legitimate service. I was traveling for work and I needed a place with two beds. One was offered at $140, which was the low price in a very upscale, gentrified area of Napa Valley. We had worked late into the night unexpectedly and I just wanted a place immediately, near the worksite, because we were exhausted. It should have been a clue that I was asked to waive my right to cancel before I paid them the money online with a debit card. I took the precaution of paying using PayPal, which I thought was a thoughtful option to protect me from any sketchy operators doing some flimflam scamming! We pulled in and rang the service bell and I was “greeted” by some kind of larval-looking woman who barely spoke English but firmly insisted that they did not recognize PayPal and insisted that I would have to pay again! She demanded to see my ID and card, (which I will soon change the number of, as I fear it must have been logged and sold already.) She peered at her compute screen, which looked like some kind of early Windows product. I waited, thinking that she was looking for a message from Paypal. Soon I was clear that we were stalemated and I turned and left, getting into my truck. When we did not leave immediately, her husband came out and wanted to dicker. He went through the same ID and card presentation game, pecked a few keys on the computer, and pushed out a little black box with a screen that said, “I agree to pay $444”!

Front desk was very unfriendly

First off, the chair to the desk area had embroidery staple nails sticking out and the chair which was fully ready to collapse. Which is huge safety concern. Second, the shower distance is most likely not per code. Tiny RV style shower. Lots of issues with this place, cannot believe Napa County Building & Safety Code Enforcement still allows them to operate. If ya just need a cheap place to crash for the night, its ok but, more than that its No Bueno.
