Rodeway Inn Meadowlands

The place was really run down and the rooms were not clean at all. There were stains on basically all the towels we were given, the carpet was disgusting as well. The curtains were ripped to pieces and stained too. I'm aware that it is a relatively cheap hotel for the area but I stil expected a relatively clean environment. The area around is pleasant with a grocery store and some restaurants around, as well breakfast place with good pricing. Transportation into New York was also fine with a 20 min bus ride to Time Square.

The hallways smell like piss and cigarettes but I guess I should expect that since it was cheaper than most hotels especially compared to NYC where I was visiting. This was the closest affordable option for me. The service was just ok. I had a problem with the bathtub my first night there, it was draining slowly so I told the front desk and she was rude about helping me but she had someone there to fix it within 20 minutes. It was pretty nasty, the things that were coming up the drain, peoples hair and possibly body fluids. I couldn't stay through the whole thing because the plumber had to get something else to clear the drain and I had to get to my appointments. When I got back it was fixed and the tub was cleaned. Other than that I slept well and there were stores and restaurants nearby that you can easily get to on foot if you have no car. Most people would find this hotel gross but when you're broke like me you will ignore the negatives and just be grateful you didn't have to spend $300 per night on a better hotel.

The hotel was wonderful. I had a good time.

WiFi isn’t working properly

Scetchy neighborhood, bullet proof windows. Rooms were missing paint, just shabby, no pride in ownership. Slept with my clothes on, left earlier then planned.

Very good hotel

The elevator doors open before reaching the floor. One light could not be turned off, but lamp would not come on. There were nails sticking out of the wall. Dingy room; gross lumpy pillows; mattress torn with stuffing coming out that looked like something was living in it; windows filthy; loud, because the room was on a 6 lane highway; difficult to get into the property from a 50MPH exit from highway; overall disgusting. Didn't want to use the shower. Overall really nasty. Would NOT recommend, even if you're desparate!

The room door didnt lock properly and would get stuck on the carpet every time it went to close. The shower walls were a bit dirty as well. But overall it matches the price of the stay.

Close to stores and food!! Enjoyed my stay!!

When we checked into the hotel and entered our room, we immediately noticed a strong, unpleasant odor. Concerned, we inspected the bed and found a bedbug on the pillow. At that point, we left the room right away and informed the hotel staff. While they offered to move us to another room, we were extremely concerned about the risk of bringing bedbugs home with us, which could have cost us hundreds of dollars to treat. Because of this, we decided not to stay.

Would never go back. It’s not clean at all, front desk is rude, no tv, creepy hallways and decor, thought I was going to get human trafficked.

This is truly a one star budget hotel. if you’re trying to save money and don’t care about much else it’s the place to go

The hotel is so-so, one of the lamps didn't work, but the worst thing was the beds are very old, you can feel the springs in your back, literally everyone woke up with back pain. If they changed all of that, the hotel would be recommended.

No good

Near to midtown

This was an OK room for a family of 4. The room was big and confortable, however, the hotel stunk of smoke and the bath was not working well. We came here for a trip to NYC, parking was free, public transit was 15min to Time Square, Cable TV was nice to finish the evening.
