Sonder The Plymouth

Great apartment, we were given an extra bedroom which we used as a wardrobe. Well equipped, modern and well decorated. Full cooker, fridge freezer, microwave. We were provided with tablets for laundry and dishwasher. Washing up.liquids, towels and toilet roll. Great shower. Loved the location. We enjoy cities and walking. Trains a very short walks (several L stations). Target was a 15 minute walk, great independent coffee shop 2 mins from entrance. We will use Sonder again.

Great stay. Bedroom temperature didn’t seem to work great but otherwise very nice stay.

Arrived to find the unit chilled to 65 degrees and reeking of the world’s worst air freshner (like urinal pucks) that took 3 days to dissipate (it made me wheeze). Warmed the unit by turning on the oven. Bathroom sink clogged with hair. Last day no hot water. Noisy next to the subway. No blackout curtains. Bland and boxy. Made me regret not checking in to a hotel.

Perfect for a girls' weekend get-away. Close to CTA station and walkable to many attractions and restaurants. Comfortable and well-stocked with basic necessaries (dishes, cutlery, glassware). Added plus was the roof top terrace we enjoyed on the unseasonably balmy October evening! Our only complaint was not being able to stay longer. We hope to be back.

Our stay was pleasant and the 3 rooms and 3 bathrooms were perfect for five people.

I was unable to accsess the unit because the code did not worked. I was at night with 2 kids out of the building typing the code that never worked. Nobody answer the phone. It was a nightmare. Never again.

It was myself and 3,other ladies that flew into Chicago for the AKIRA fashion show! The venue was only a 10 min walk from Sonder. We all had worked all day and took the last flight out. When we arrived we were ready to eat and crash! We loved the self check-in option. They sent ez to follow instructions, Everything was keyless which provided quick ins and outs and you don’t have to think about keeping up with keys or cards every time you walk out the door. Upon entry you are greeted with the loveliest smell that filled the lobby! The apartment was cute and clean and the beds were comfy cozy! There was a full kitchen and a washer and dryer which we used because there is nothing better than taking clean clothes back home! My room had the bed that obstructed the door but it wasn’t a problem for me! Dont forget to check out the roof top it’s really a good look. The area was perfect! We walked everywhere and the best part is Garrett’s is just steps away as well as a 7/11 which we needed for quick small things. This area is filled with so much shopping! We spent a lot of time At Macys! I read the reviews before booking and a lot of ppl mentioned the area was sketchy. I’m going to say I disagree! Let me also say I’m from Detroit so I’m not scared of much. So the corner boys which were there day and night gave us no problems! I never once felt unsafe! 10 out of 10 me and my crew would recommend from ease of use to location, location, location!

Had AC issue but their communication and handling was outstanding.

It was ok but not in a great area. Too much money for what it was for sure

We loved being in the loop, and next to the L. Although we had a car, we never used it. We either walked or used CTA. The 4 beds and 3 baths were great for our family of 6, plus the kitchen and washer/dryer in unit were great. We had one small issue, and Sonder handled it quickly.

I booked a 3 bedroom apt at the Plymouth Sonder location in Chicago for out of state family traveling to chicago for a family reunion. The accommodations themselves were well appointed and comfortable and centrally located to all downtown Chicago attractions dnd transportation. My grievance is with management. My 69 yo cousin slipped and fell in the slick surfaced shower badly bruising her body badly enough to require immediate medical attention. Notification was made to the Sonder help number provided on the reservation and while sympathetic, they did nothing when asked if they could provide a non slip matt for the showers (other guests were experiencing near slips). The help line response simply dismissed it by saying "we don't have those on premises". Should an emergency situation arise, just know you are alone to deal with it.

The issue is this is a pretty rough part of town and it’s kind of dangerous. You have to watch her back.

Great place to stay and visit Chicago on foot. The property was exactly what we hoped for.

Windows were drafty and didn't block out any of the neighborhood noise. Some of the bedroom doors don't close properly. Otherwise very clean and comfortable.

Extremely small apartment, the rooms are only as big as the queen size bed.

Great facilities and close to tourist attractions, nearby bus and L train stations. Highly recommended apartment

Gréât location. Gréât amenities for families. Loved having a full fridge and laundry. No replies to questions via suggested app, however, so zero support/contact with a no-staff hotel, so that was the only disappointment. Fabulous stay otherwise.

Location for being downtown is great. The place itself felt and appeared cheap, including cabinets crooked, bed sheets that felt like paper, no soap by certain sinks, curtains that let in a lot of light in the morning. The place also isn’t very well insulated for sound, luckily our neighbors above weren’t too noisy but given there is nobody on premise to help with anything if there was a situation like that you’d probably be out of luck.
