The property exceeded my expectations. The property boasts a retro vibe. I love the style of the hotel. The room was so spacious and had a unique style. It’s a hidden gem. It’s in a quiet area. I love how the hotel was restored. It’s perfect!!

1st off, the staff is very nice. We arrived Christmas day and the young woman was cheerful. Everyone we spoke to was super polite. Unfortunately, nice and polite could not fix the issue with the tv. Turn it on for 5-7 minutes and then it would reboot. Sometimes it would not come back on at all. They did send someone a couple times to "fix" it but the issue persisted the whole week we were there. We were out all day & only wanted to watch an hour or 2 before bed each night, so the constant rebooting was frustrating. Housekeeping didn't show up the 1st day they were supposed to but once we brought it to the front desks attention, that was sorted out. The room was clean ish but sorta beat up and there were stains on the sheets. Whole room could have used a coat of paint. The best part was the location. We were only 10 minutes away from everything and that was great! If we ever go back to San Diego, we will not stay here again unfortunately.

We opted for the pet friendly room since we had our dog with us. The room we chose didn’t have a price difference from the non-pet rooms until we checked in. The fee was $25 and the attendant said the fee is waived if you book directly through them. My wife asked why wasn’t the price reflected on the website when we chose the room type but she didn’t respond. During the night, we thought our ground floor room window was open because we could hear regular conversations so clearly! You can also hear the upstairs walk around, drop things etc. Then around 2am, my wife and I woke up to loud thumping that may have been a washing machine or other activity from upstairs, along with loud music from somewhere else. We arrived from 14hours on the road & were too tired/car-lagged to call the front desk. You can hear the noise from the freeway but that didn’t bother us. The AC unit is governed to not go below 63 or 65 (can’t recall). There’s no option on unit to keep the fan running so we could drown out all the noise. If they fixed all the noise issues the stay would’ve been more pleasant but we’re not staying there again. Luckily we booked a better hotel for almost the same price for the rest of our stay.

We were told 2 out of our 3 booked rooms were not available even though it was an hour after check in time. Staff had no idea what rooms were available. All 3 rooms smelled horrible. Two smelled of rotten eggs and the other of smoke. One of our family had to leave to another hotel because the floor was so dirty and they have a 1 year old walker/crawler. Our sink was cracked, a white powder on the bathroom floor and the shower on/off knob was about to fall off. Floor was also filthy in our room. Another kids room had the shower rod fall off and they could not shower the second morning. Rooms were very musty! Nobody at the front counter was able to assist and kept referring us to management. Our phone number was left and we still have not heard back. Homeless and tweakers are all around. The actual grounds were clean. Would definitely not recommend this location. It has potential but all the problems are patched, painted over or not fixed.

1. We brought food and were planning to use the microwave. Front desk said there's a short in the room. Yet they're still renting it out. We're out $50 in food due to this inexcusable act. 2. A/C Heater unit was making a clicking noise on the fan.. ?. Sleep was less than desirable. I mentioned it to the front desk.. unfortunately the staff no longer has a manager on site, well anytime I asked to speak with a manager. SMH Terrible the employees have to put up with problems that Management and the Owner should TAKE CARE OF IMMEDIATELY. 3. Called front desk in the morning asking politely for change of towels and wash cloths. Had to wait over an hour to get them. (Called a few times inquiring about it.) Poor gal at the desk said nobody would be in, "house keeping"/"maintenance" until 8am. This is piss poor management. Period. 4. And the last thing... we saw a red roach on the entertainment stand. While it might have looked clean.. let's just say, you can polish it all you want, but you can only hide/avoid the deep hidden issues for only so long. Finally the hotel has become noisier. People walking/stomping at late hours in the night. The traffic noise has increased since last year and still no improvement to making the room(s) more noise resistant/proof.

We arrived and checked in with no issues. Stayed for 2 nights. When asking about the ice machine at first they said “we do not have one.” And then asked why there are ice buckets they said “its actually out of service.” This was the first red flag. My partner right away said “be careful because they seem sketchy.” Then, we noticed a blood stain under the first sheet so we just took it off and put it in the corner. The headboards were greasy and even had a full handprint on the headboard. Checked out with no issue. A day later when looking at my charges I noticed this hotel charged me $23.86. When I called the hotel they told me it was for “dirty floor towels”. I asked for proof and they said they had a picture but refused to show me. The floor towel was dirty from me taking a shower and then stepping on the floor-which was filthy! Clearly they do not properly clean their rooms or floors and then charge the guests for their uncleanliness. If they use bleach (like the front desk person told me) shouldn't all the stains come out? Lied about when the manager will be in multiple times as well and was met with the rudest responses when I was just trying to get more information on these random charges on my card. I stay at hotels weekly for work and I have never had this happen with such rude workers who clearly scam their guests. I looked at other reviews for this hotel and noticed I was not the only one this has happened to. Please beware or even better- STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!

The clerk lied to me as I'm watching the fees get deducted from my account via text message on my cellphone, that the card was not good. And I still need to pay the deposit fee and some other fees. Still lying...When asked if I can get a receipt she said there is no receipt. Still lying....When asked if I could have a full refund she said I'll have to go through a third party. However, the fact that I was not born yesterday and I just wake up looking this way; young, pretty and dumb,... And have been renting hotel rooms everyday for the last few years. Mistakes happen. But I'll bet my bank statements and my attorney can prove otherwise. I'll be back after the holidays ready to bake that ham. Seasons greetings everyone!!....
