It’s a historic hotel with classy facilities but a bit run down. The corridors are very wide. Rooms are ok size given the location. The in room heating vents were very loud so if you are a light sleeper be aware. I thought the hotel staff could be more welcoming. Overall felt a bit cold. There are ongoing decoration projects which means half the time only one elevator worked, and people were doing work in the lobby. Just didn’t feel a well oiled running hotel overall.

Overall, really enjoyed our stay. In-room wood burning fireplace was a great perk and the person who took care of getting the fire started (Roland, I think) was excellent. Room temperature was a little hard to control, but manageable for the most part. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom toilet area was a bit tight (could be a problem for large people). Great location and wonderful staff.

As expected, it's a bit dark and dated. However, lovely staff and spectacular location. I was not feeling well and the lady asked if I wanted a Ginger Ale. I got two cans sent to my room. It did help a lot.

The Lenox Hotel is wonderful, with nice lobby ambience and European charm. The service was what may stay exceptional. Everyone - from the President of this hotel to the young valet guy - was a top notch professional, looking to make a guests stay a really comforting one. One of the best hotels in Back Bay, in an amazing location.

I have always loved the Lenox as it is a boutique hotel and is warm, cozy (that fireplace is devine in lobby) and manageable. The location is ideal; right next to the magnificent Boston Public Library amongst other treasures. The staff is lovely, and the complimentary morning coffee is devine.

The woodburning fireplace is amazing - and the engineers who build them. Very unique. We were able to get early check in and the noon check out time is generous. Loved the attached restaurants. Staff is very friendly, helpful and kind.
