Easy access to the hotel and to surrounding needs. For me it was very convenient with its location close to airports and Manhattan and access to Long Island. The value does not compare. In Manhattan this room does not really exist. A balcony, more space than most NYC studio apartments, clean, modern, safe and quiet. Will be coming back often. Highly recommend. Yianni at the front Desk is the professional and gracious host that will ensure your stay is a 11/10. They did not disappoint with genuine hospitality, anticipation of needs and an eye for detail. Thank you for such an unexpected surprise that exceeded expectations!

I was very impressed with the quality of the room, and the space for the price. I had a beautiful view, and the kitchenette and bathroom were really nice too. Bed was comfortable, good pillows and blankets and it was all well designed. There was also a surprising art room on the bottom floor that was beautiful to be in, and a good conference center and work out space on the second floor. It looks like nothing from the outside, but inside, I kept being surprised at how well done it was. Not a lot of restaurants or shops nearby, but the train is pretty close. There's a great coffee shop called little flower pretty close by.

Clean room, comfortable beds. The heater started making loud noises in the middle of the night. It was difficult to sleep the first night. The next morning, I notified front desk, and they addressed the issue promptly. Overall a good stay.

Convenient location -- 5 min Uber drive or 15-min walk from Queens Plaza subway station. Area felt safe, especially during the day. The property overall is clean. I took a star off cleanliness because my room could have used a good vacuuming. No carpet in room (which is great) but the floor was somewhat dusty. The area that could have used deeper cleaning was the bathroom -- rust/mold stains on the shower curtain. On the second day, housekeeping replaced dirty towels. One of the towels was still damp and smelled mildewy. Front desk took note and replaced all towels. The building at night can be noisy. On the first night, either someone in the building or outside was blasting a sermon and then music. That went from 11pm for about an hour. I was too tired from my trip, that didn't have the energy to notify the front desk. Aside from those 2 situations, our stay overall was pleasant. Comfortable beds, crisp/clean linens, spacious and sunny room. Dark shades at night. I would stay here again. Plenty of restaurants Within 15-min walk. Easy access to Manhattan as well. Within 30-min I was in Chelsea Market.

The hotel far exceeded my expectations for a 3-star establishment in New York. The suite was spacious, clean and well appointed. The thing I appreciated the most was the quietness. The hotel is in a residential neighborhood with quiet streets, and there are only 2-3 rooms on each floor, which helped to minimize hallway noise. The staff are friendly and helpful. They even bring deliveries to your door. I would stay here again.

The lobby/recreation area is absolutely beautiful! Very quiet as well. The room itself was tastefully decorated, huge and convenient with a kitchenette, table for 3 and balcony. Probably the prettiest hotel we have stayed at and we are constant travelers. I would definitely recommend this hotel. There is a deli right on the corner, and many restaurants in the area. Finding parking on the street was easy. 10 stars!

My wife and I went to New York for my little vacation. We decided to pick the Modernist Hotel to stay. We stayed for 3 days and everything was so convenient. The hotel is close to the subway, and many different types of restaurants for us to choose from. Will do it again when we get back to New York.

Really liked the hotel. Room was very stylish - and large! And close to subway too. Not a lot going on near hotel but if you are happy to stay out of Manhattan would recommend.

The decor is unique. However, it is over priced, staff not flexible and a bit snobbish. No special perks to your stay. Curtains not long enough for windows. Had to walk with the curtains just to not be seen. Complimentary water 1/2 sized. $350 deposit for what! Wouldn't stay again. Had better experiences in Williamsburg hotels for the same price.

We had a very nice stay! The hotel was close to three or so different Subway stops that made it easy to travel around Queens and Manhattan. The deli nextdoor was also very convenient.
