The Palmetto Hotel

A beautiful hotel in a perfect location. Our room was very comfortable with a large bathroom and super shower. The breakfast was wonderful with delicious pastries, biscuits and grits. It’s as good as I’ve had at any European hotel. The afternoon cocktail was very nice and the bar and lobby very attractive. I would love to stay here again.

The location is prime. It was pretty much walkable too all popular restaurants and various sights - The Battery, Rainbow Row, City Market, Ft. Sumpter Visitor Center, etc. Hotel was nice with a nice lobby and bar to hang out in. The staff at the Palmetto was attentive and extremely helpful. Also spent a lot of time at Carmella's next door (awesome coffee/dessert bar). The room was nice. The shower could have been cleaner. The biggest 'con' to our stay was the fact that the walls seemed paper thin. I get most hotels you're going to hear people in the hallways (doors closing, etc.). But this is the first time where the conversation, snoring as well as the couple's "activity" next door were all very audible. Not sure if the hotel is in a historic building and that is just the norm.... But Spotify was doing a LOT of overtime playing thunderstorm sounds every night.

This is a really nice boutique hotel. We had a king room with a balcony. It was nice to look out and all that was happening outside. The location is excellent! There is no restaurant inside the hotel, but there are excellent choices just outside the front door, which was very nice. We had lunch at Amen St. and supper at Rudy Royale with the best Short Rib Ragu I have ever tasted! Breakfast was free and served inside the beautiful lobby. They served boiled eggs, grits, bacon bits, yogurt, and fruit. The staff were very nice & accommodating. Valet parking was expensive, but a nice treat. There is street parking with parking meters, and we found a parking garage a block or so over for $18 per day. Overall, a very nice place to stay.

Amazing staff. Beautiful, clean rooms with comfortable beds! Lobby bar is very cozy with excellent espresso martinis. Nice continental breakfast too.

Great location for shopping, walking, restaurants, etc. Helpful, friendly staff. Chilled bar area.

My wife and stayed at the Palmetto Hotel after Christmas to celebrate her 50th birthday. Hotel staff could not be more welcoming. Lots of little extras in the room and surprisingly good breakfast offered each morning. This included: biscuits & gravy, fresh pastries and stone ground grits. Definitely recommend.
