The location is great when visiting the French Quarter. Canal Place shopping is next door and the restaurants of the Quarter are close by. The bar/lounge on the 11th floor lobby has a perfect view of the water. The rooms are clean and spacious. Expect the full hospitality of New Orleans from the friendly and professional staff. True southern charm.

Didn’t know about the $30 ‘Resort’ fee. Only staying one night, had dinner plans in NOLA. Discovered I couldn’t use the resort benefit for breakfast the next morning. Wasn’t told how to use the ‘Resort’ fee.

The hotel is beautiful and the views from the lobby and our room was amazing; ask for a room with a river view. The bed was extremely comfortable - not too firm and not too soft. Everything was spotlessly clean. It's pricey; read the fine print when you book. Parking is not included (at least not in our reservation). It is valet and cost $58/night. We were only there one night but they did mis-ID our vehicle (both times we used it) which caused substantial confusion when we were checking out and they bought us a really nice cadillac sedan instead of our rather beat up and aged Toyota 4Runner. But we loved the whole feel of the place and the location, right at the foot of canal on the river and on the edge of the Quarter. We plan on going back.

Attached mall, casino literally across the street, River Walk mall literally less than 5 min walk.. Canal pretty much at the front door… Awesome bar and lounge inside hotel with great service.. This will forever be my go to Hotel for New Orleans.. You can walk in almost any direction and find something to eat. Trust me you won’t be disappointed.

The Westin has won our hearts for future stays in the French quarter. Amazing staff, comfortable room and amazing views. Best bed - the heavenly Westin bed. The Observatory check in area is an outstanding place to hang out late afternoon before evening activities , or any other time, with nightly live music, great snacks and drinks to spend the $30.00 per night destination fee and the best views of the Mississippi River anywhere. We will be back soon!
