Lovely hotel! Laid back location away from the busy touristy areas yet with a lot of amazing dining options and cafes. Subway station is only a short 9min walk and the ride to Manhattan takes 5min. Highly recommend

Disappointed. We did not receive the Expedia VIP access benefit as stated on our booking. Also, there’a a vacuum left by our door outside all the time during our stay.

Celebrated my birthday here but the room wasn’t that cleaned when I checked in also had to wait an hour for a new remote because the batteries were dead I requested my room to be cleaned the next day we left for the spa got back 4 hours later my room still wasn’t cleaned I had to ask them twice for house keeping. Other than that everything was great especially the restaurant and west light. Valet parking was convenient they also had my car ready for me outside when I checked out :)

Staff are friendly and well meaning but ineffective. Everything that I asked for needed to be requested multiple times, even when it was just information. The staff here seemed to be either not empowered, or incompetent when it came to various tasks, and I got the impression that when they were not sure what to do they just avoided me, which in retrospect is funny but at the time was mind of degrading. I'm speaking of front desk staff, concierges, etc. The shining exception to all this were the valets, room service waitstaff, and cleaning staff, who were all unfailingly friendly, and who seemed to be the only people doing any work.

The staff was wonderful. My complaint is that I was ill during my stay and the television reception…which we called 3 times about for two days, was terrible. When you pay top dollar for a hotel you expect the basics to work.
