The block I was in and my room #47 smelt musty. The bathroom was very clean but the room didn’t look as though it had been hoovered. And looked a little tired. As you entered the block there were plies of laundry bags stacked up. I don’t know if this is where the musty smell originated.

A great hotel to stay to break out travelling up. Staff accommodated our late arrival. Breakfast was good, bed was comfy, staff were friendly. My only jiggle was that our room was cold when we arrived at 11:30pm and was cold through the night.

Stay here when working in the area. It does everything well. The food is good, the rooms are good with comfy beds. The service in the restaurant is top class and overall very friendly. Definitely recommend rather than pay over inflated prices in nearby chain hotels.

Beware when booking through Hotels.com. I selected B&B when making the booking but found out at the hotel that it was room only and I had to pay for breakfast

The property was a good distance for visiting Exeter and the surrounding area. The room was comfortable and quiet and the bed gave me a lovely night’s sleep. The breakfast was fresh and tasty and plentiful. The bar area was cosy and had a welcoming fireplace. There was ample parking and you can park close to your room. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Paid for a cheap hotel, expected to get a cheap one with all the downsides that usually brings. Not a bit of it. Spotlessly clean throughout, no worn furniture, quiet, not next to a sewage works or an industrial site, etc. Breakfast was good, made with high quality ingredients (eggs & bacon that actually tasted of eggs & bacon, which shouldn't be a surprise but sadly was) & was delivered rapidly. Petrol station close by with a decent shop for unexpected needs. If I absolutely had to find fault I'd say that the mattress could maybe have been better? It wasn't bad by any means, & didn't prevent a good night's sleep in any way, but if I'd paid more I suspect that that's the difference I'd have noticed. (Also, you need to find a different naming scheme for the buildings. Block 5 is institutional at best, more prison camp than holiday camp, & jars terribly with the actual experience of staying at your hotel.)

Our 2 days was very good. We had a lovely meal on the Friday, very friendly atmosphere and the room was very good. The only downside for me was a hard mattress. Overall we were satisfied with the hotel

Quiet and a comfortable bed, with a modern well designed bathroom. What more could I need; well maybe the tv to have worked, but I had a very restful night.

Its out of town but well placed for the road network. Its everything i want in a hotel with plenty of parking and the breakfast was freshly cooked and lovely. The restaurant staff were all polite, professional and very attentive. The evening meals were ok but not great. However there is a fantastic pub for evening meals just a mile away called the Ley Arms at Kenn. The only downside was that it was raining a fair bit and we had to walk outside to get to the restaurant for breakfast. An Eco minus point was that they did keep replacing the towels even though we didnt need them replacing . I would definitely stay here again and have stayed previously too

Good rooms and excellent dining and breakfast for the price. I needed to stay just outside Exeter and this was perfect. I've stayed at quite a few hotels within Exeter and by comparison this was the best for quality and value.
