Ultimate relaxation environment! Staff extremely helpful even with language barrier the desk clerks went above and beyond to help us with travel arrangements, taxis, food delivery, and more. The breakfast was incredible with the servers and chefs kindly providing an ultimate Japanese experience. Everyone showed us kindness and genuine hospitality all the way to housekeeping and management. Definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs an amazing getaway. Top notch! The in room onsen was serene. The general onsen gorgeous with beautiful waterfalls. Only topped by the genuine concern for our wellbeing 🙏

The atmosphere of the place was both friendly and relaxing. All the staff were exceptional. We loved our stay at Mashikokan Satoyama Resort Hotel.

This was the perfect place for our little group to begin our trip in Japan. The (included) breakfasts and dinners were amazing, gourmet and generous. The hot spring pools were so relaxing and renewing. Our bedrooms were quite large and comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful--driving us into town for our pottery touring, helping us figure out the best way to get to Tokyo, even writing down a few essential/survival phrases in Japanese for us ;-) I will always remember Mashikokan as a special part of our trip.

It was a very old building but it was clean. The food was delicious too. The employees were kind. The room and bath are far away, and there are stairs, so it is inconvenient for people with disabilities. I like Satoyama Resort Hotel. I'm thinking of coming to stay next year as well.

Very bad design. No elevator access from the front to guest room floors at all. Air conditioning is not covering the bedroom. Noises from upstairs, next door and corridors. No room slippers and small TV.

I had changed something about my reservation after my initial booking. When I arrived I was given my original cheaper room (I had upgraded) and the desk attendant didn't catch it at first. After realizing the mistake they were extremely apologetic and moved us to our upgraded room with the private outdoor ofuro tub. The kaiseki dinner and breakfast were fantastic.

I had an exaeptionaly comfortable stay at Mashikokan. I did not want to leave..... great hot spring I could stay in the bath for hours. Great breakfast and dinner with local ingredients. Great gift shop to share my experience with family and friends.

Totally, it was good to stay there. The distance between lobby and room is too far.

Stayed with a friend for 3 nights, wanted to get away from the big city and spend some time in the countryside. We had a great time, the hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there’s no restaurant in the hotel so if you don’t have a car and it’s raining outside getting the food can be problematic. Also no shower in the standard room but it’s OK since there’s a plenty of space in the onsen area. We had fun but I wouldn’t stay there for more than 2 nights

Outdoor & indoor Hot Water Spa was amazing, but too bad the large waterfall backdrop is broken, now the stones are just illuminated. Service and cleanliness is impeccable. It and the town of Mashikokan are extremely hard to get to with public transportation from Narita Airport. The front desk attendant & concierge, (Mr. Suzuki), is awesome.!!

Lovely place. Friendly staff. Limited English spoken or in signage. Clean but dated decor. Good local food. Reasonable prices. We had a late arrival on the first night and were put into a substandard room by mistake; had to make up our own beds (futons), no towels or instructions on using the onsen. Management were very apologetic the next day.we hired bikes from the hotel because the hotel is 30 minutes from Mashiko.

Room is very spacious and nice. Breakfast is traditional Japanese style, pretty and good. Dinner I thought I can shoose from restaurants inside hotel but they weren't available so if you want to eat at hotel, need to include with reservation. Hot spring was nice. No bath in the room. Mashiko is really beautiful and my soul was filled in many ways. Shoji Hamada Sankokan museum was really good. Kanoya gallery has best ceramics in town.

Chef's culinary prowess, artistry of both food and presentation on broad array of beautiful, local pottery were impressive.

Não tem elevador até o térreo. Alguns ambientes muito frios sem climatização. Hotel bem tradicional.
