Both are budget hotels owned by Santika group but Amaris Margorejo hotel is better & more worth it. At Amaris Embong Malang, I stayed for 2 nights.. I asked for a cleaning room & after leaving for hours it turned out that it had not been cleaned with the excuse that the cleaning service on the floor I was staying in was only 1 and was still going around, many people checked out that day so they had to wait for their turn. The quality of your answers and service is very unprofessional. The amenities are also very lacking. For a class like Amaris, a subsidiary of Santika Group, they only provide 1 piece of toothpaste & toothbrush without a shower cap. Whereas at Amaris Margorejo I remember very well that it was complete with sandals, shower cap, hand soap, 2 packs of dental kits all packed in yellow paper packaging with the letter 'a' logo. Then the last 2x during breakfast I was always made to wait when I wanted to take the chicken porridge menu. I had to complain to the F&B officer first before it was refilled, and it took a long time to fill it even though I noticed that chicken porridge was one of the best-selling menus there. It really does not reflect the hotel owned by Santika Group which is always excellent in terms of F&B. I think the location is the only reason it wins because it is located at the main intersection of the main road in the center of Surabaya city, otherwise it is nothing special.
