I have stayed at this hotel every year-end when I bring my family on a road trip to Kuala Lumpur, which makes this experience even more disappointing.
We stayed as 4 persons in a 2-room suite. The 4 bottles of drinking water were delivered by room service, and when I requested additional water, the room service staff informed me that they were instructed by the receptionist to provide only 4 bottles per day. This is unreasonable for the number of guests staying in the suite.
The breakfast service was extremely disappointing and poorly managed. At 08:50 hrs, we ordered plain rice. The staff confirmed the order and asked us to wait 20 minutes. After 25 minutes, we followed up and were told to wait another 5 minutes. However, at 09:50 hrs, after almost one hour of waiting, we were informed that plain rice was not available.
If we had been informed at 08:50 hrs that plain rice was unavailable, we would have made alternative arrangements. Making guests wait for nearly an hour only to give a negative answer shows poor communication and a lack of respect for guests’ time.
Overall, this experience was ridiculous and unacceptable. I will not recommend staying at this hotel and will never return, despite the fact that it is under Pan Pacific management.
