Great place. A small B&B with only 3 rooms. Andrea was ultra kind and helpful. The rooms were super clean. Il Vicoletto is a hidden gem just behind the main street.
I must admit I was a little bit skeptical of booking a room there, because of some of the unreasonable negative comments made here on Google. But after experiencing the place first hand, I can only say that those negative opinions, must be rooted in lack of traveling experience.
When you travel to a town that is more than a 1000 years old, you would HAVE to expect an environment and a city that is not at a level of motel made of cardboard, like some of the Tourists are used to from their homeland.
The atmosphere walking the 94 stairs up to the secluded and hidden b&b Il Vicoletto gives you a hint of the rich history Amalfi and Italy 🇮🇹 is offering. The old stairs tells a story of hard work done many hundreds of years ago. Long before Spain became even a little bit civilized or Germany wore anything else than a wolf-fur and drinking beer
Andrea who owns the place is such a delightful person, the beds are good to sleep in. Everything was good. With it being located so central in Amalfi, you have access to everything within a few minutes.
I highly recommend to stay at Il Vicoletto in Amalfi. The central location, the historical pathway, the host and accommodation is absolutely recommendable and delightful.
If you are used to the easy accessible and streamlined suburban motel chains along the German this autostrada, you will not like this place or the rest of Europe for that matter.
Il Vicoletto is a great place from where to experience the rich and old culture of Amalfi and Italy, and we will definitely return to this beautiful place! ❤️🇮🇹
