Kebayoran Lama is a subdistrict of South Jakarta that includes Permata Hijau, Gandaria, Pondok Indah, Ciputat, and Cipulir area. It still contains some green areas like Bendi Park, and also the one that is concentrated as a cemetery area within the Tanah Kusir Cemetery – a burial place of Mohammad Hatta, the first vice president of Indonesia. Gandaria City along with Pondok Indah Mall 1 & 2 are the most visited shopping malls in South Jakarta especially during weekend. As it is located strategically – close to some residential area, apartment, Jakarta Outer Ring Road Highway, and Kebayoran Station – these shopping malls has become the diva in South Jakarta area. Apart from that, Kebayoran Lama is also close to Blok M, Mayestik Market, Panglima Polim, and Senayan area that is accessible by public transportation.
