But if you prefer something more comfortable, that's fine too, just don’t forget the lucky colors to ensure a prosperous visit.

Get to Know the ThapThim Goddess of the Shrine at Yellow Bridge and What You Can Ask For

The Goddess of the ThapThim Goddess of the Shrine at Yellow Bridge in Sam Yan is a sacred deity revered by many. Located in the Yellow Bridge area, it’s a place to ask for blessings related to wealth, career, and more. Preparation Before Praying

Normally, you can bring your own offerings, or you can buy them at the ThapThim Goddess of the Shrine as they offer complete sets. Popular offerings include:

Auspicious fruits like oranges, apples, pomegranates, pears, grapes, and dragon fruit (9 pieces)
Pearl necklace
Hing Tia (sacred paper offerings)
Oil for filling lamps
Flower garlands (preferably red, pink, or white flowers, which the Goddess of the Sea likes)
33 incense sticks
1 pair of red candles

How to Pray at the ThapThim Goddess of the Shrine, Yellow Bridge

1.
Start with Praying to the Tih Kong (Heaven and Earth):
Light one pair of red candles and five incense sticks to honor Heaven and Earth at the front of the shrine.
2.
Pray to the Goddess of the Sea:
Light one pair of candles, then place three incense sticks in each of the three incense holders, starting with the central one and then the left and right smaller ones.
3.
Pray to Che Leng Ee Gong (Green Dragon God):
Light three incense sticks and place them in the incense holder for this deity.
4.
Pray to Paek Gong:
Light three incense sticks and place them in the incense holder for this deity.
5.
Pray to Ti Chu Ee (The God of the Land):
Light five incense sticks and place them in the incense holder for this deity.
6.
Pray to Mung Sing (The Gatekeeper God):
Light one incense stick on each side and place them in the incense holder for this deity.

Once the incense has burned halfway, you can say farewell to Hing Tia (sacred paper money) by placing it in the burning area and taking the fruits or offerings back to consume for good fortune.

How to Make Wishes

When praying at the ThapThim Goddess of the Shrine, focus your mind and clearly state your full name, birthdate, and the specific wish you would like to request at each point of prayer, whether it's for love, career, health, or other matters. The Goddess of the Sea is believed to help make every wish come true.
Fortune-Telling with the Siem Si (Divination Sticks) Many people also use Siem Si (divination sticks) to help with their wishes. The divination system can give you guidance and answers.

Prayers to Chant for the ThapThim Goddess of the Shrine, Yellow Bridge

Typically, you can make your wish at the ThapThim Goddess of the Shrine without a specific prayer chant. However, if you're used to chanting a prayer when making a wish, the shrine provides a chant. But don't worry if you prefer not to chant – the Goddess is understanding. Just pray sincerely from your heart, and she will hear your request.

How to Get to the ThapThim Goddess of the Shrine, Yellow Bridge

MRT (Subway):

Take the Orange Line (MRT Sukhumvit Line) and get off at Sam Yan Station (Exit 2).
After exiting the station, walk about 700 meters, passing the exit leading to Sam Yan Mitrtown. Then, exit where there’s a 7-Eleven store and turn left. Walk straight until you reach Block 28. Turn right and continue walking straight. You’ll reach Sam Yan Market, and next to it will be a construction site. Keep walking straight, and you'll see the sign for the ThapThim Goddess of the Shrine. Turn into the shrine entrance.

Operating Hours: The shrine is open for worship every day from 08:00 AM to 07:00 PM.
