The staff at this hotel set a new standard for excellent hospitality and service. Every person we met there was friendly, warm and helpful. The location of this hotel cannot be beat - we walked everywhere and tried many excellent restaurants nearby. We will certainly be back to stay at the Sylvia Hotel.

Lovely historic hotel right beside English Bay and Stanley Park. Very walkable and safe neighborhood with many restaurants. Very friendly staff, comfortable quiet room, good food and beautiful views

Great old hotel with so much charm and history; great service; BEST location. But rooms are in desperate need of an upgrade. Bed was very comfortable and room was large, but this dear old hotel needs to update aspects like the bathrooms, windows, heaters. I’m rooting for this to happen as it’s such an amazing institution.

The rich history and beauty of the hotel, not to mention so close to amenities and ocean walks. We didn't like the fact the hotel didn't have a pool or hottub. Only thing that was missing.

We came here to celebrate our anniversary. We loved being able to eat and relax in the dining room or cocktail lounge with views of English Bay. Everything was comfortable and convenient. We’ll be back!

Beautiful, historic hotel. Located on the water! Walking distance to Stanley Park and the Granville Island ferries. The staff were kind and helpful. The hotel bar offered many flavorful drinks!
Rooms were spacious and very clean. We would definitely return! Highly recommend!
