Very warm, friendly welcome (The snow machine at the entrance was a nice seasonal touch). All the staff were polite, attentive and helpful. The restaurant food was excellent. It all made our anniversary stay special. The building has been beautifully decorated and quality furnished in keeping with its history. The surrounding grounds were an enjoyable walk. We look forward to revisiting and seeing them during summer. The hotel is a picturesque historic house and set in a rural location with a lengthy driveways to and from the main roads.

Staff where absolutely amazing, Hotel and grounds stunning, just an absolute delight to stay there. Thank you to the whole team for a perfect stay. I will be back

Lovely and magical place

Had the most amazing stay at this wonderful hotel. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and we will definitely go back. It is just the most romantic, joyful place and the staff were incredibly helpful and personable.The restaurant was also incredibly good value for money.

Beautiful hotel and setting with excellent quality food and superb service. It’s been a long time since I’ve been treated so well! The hotel has a great self guided tour which is really worth the time. Highly recommend this place for a night or two away in luxury and comfort.

Wonderful stay. Beautiful building, lavish room. Great afternoon tea, dinner and lovely breakfast. Staff are really friendly and accommodating. Only minor let down was turn down service offered but never performed Will definitely be retuning again when we are in the area

Everything eas great!

Our first visit here and definitely won’t be the last. It is an amazing place - friendly helpful staff, a beautiful clean room and the decor is outstanding. The chef is a credit to the hotel and the grounds are just waiting to be explored. We have travelled extensively both in the UK and abroad and can honestly say it is the best hotel we’ve stayed at. Nothing more to say except to highly recommend it.

Outstanding service the staff are so friendly and professional could not do enough for you. Such a well kept property clean and maintained so well, both grounds and house. Food was excellent and again the service just made it so special. We had a classic double room and we were very happy with it the little touches of a welcome letter and Elemis products, the only issue we had was our radiators didn’t work so was a little chilly but William straight away brought us up an oil filled heater and it soon warmed the room through. There is a cinema room but unfortunately we could experience it as it was booked up but next time we will try to book in. Definitely will be a next time

This place is a delight. If i had to make any recommendations it would be to change the directions help on Hotels.com to the proper entry rather than the way our/tradesman’s entrance. The approach to the hotel is spectacular and should not be missed.
