Beautiful

We have stayed at several Kimpton properties in California, and have always found the amenities to be excellent. The London hotel, while it's a beautiful building/property, felt like there were a lot of short cuts. A silly but significant example is the hair dryer. They have the old/out of date hair dryers where you have to hold the button down the whole time. The last time I saw this was at an old/outdated hotel in Italy where the whole hair dryer unit was affixed to the wall. Is Kimpton afraid of people leaving hair dryers going?? It's just weird and not what I would expect from a luxury hotel.

The Fitzroy is a historic hotel and it is magnificent. The staff was top level and helpful in every way. I was upgraded to a studio suite and it was a spectacular room. The staff is superb and amazingly helpful and accommodating. I’ve been here 3 times and will be back again.

Beautiful property and decor

The room was very clean and the staff was attentive, kind and very accommodating.

Our room was clean and maintained daily. The central location is convenient to access the tube and walk to other areas around London.

Rooms are very small, even by European standards. Bathroom was so tiny that there was no place to plug in a hair dryer, no counter space. Common areas downstairs were nice, but there was trash, leftover dishes in hallways every day of our four night stay. Would not stay here again.

Fantastic staff whom went the extra mile for my partner and I.

We had a room with two double beds, however the room was too small for such and should have been much larger. In hindsight I should have asked to be moved to a better room. That said the hotel was lovely as were the staff.

Lovely, grand hotel with modern amenities. Our suite was specious and well appointed. Our bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was great with separate shower and tub. Russel Square tube line was a few short steps away and there are several places nearby for breakfast options. Not much nightlife here, but that was fine as it was easy to get to and still quiet for rest. I recommend!

Beautiful hotel with excellent staff. We stayed in a king studio suite (park view) and it was fabulous. Good central location. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful hotel, did my partner a little birthday dessert and delivered to the room which was a lovely touch, comfy bed, room was ready early which was brilliant! However breakfast was a bit chaotic, we had to wait in a separate room that didn’t even have any cups for a cup of coffee, when we finally got into breakfast the poor staff were run ragged and visibly stressed, there was nothing left in the buffet forcing us to order from the menu which was an extra charge per person (which we thought was a bit off as when we’ve stayed at 5* hotels that include breakfast, all breakfast is actually included with no hidden costs), breakfast was very tasty, however my partner didn’t receive his order and as we were in a rush we did leave without it, they did apologise profusely and give us a bottle of wine to make up for it which we really appreciated. All in all a lovely stay, beautiful hotel and kind, friendly staff but breakfast really needs looking into. Also we think fitz bar should be open slightly earlier so you can go in for a nice lunch time drink!

Beautiful hotel with excellent service. Lobby bar and cafe are convenient and reasonably priced. Rooms are tiny with very limited storage. We had to basically live out of our suitcases. Despite the room size we would stay here again. Great location.

Excellent hotel. Really nice location. Restaurant staff was excellent. All around friendly service. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Still my goto property. Been there more than 25 times or so but on my last trip, it was pretty chilly outside and it seems like the thermostat in the rooms have a ceiling so I was unable to get the room nice and toasty. So if it's cold outside, perhaps another hotel would be better

Absolutely gorgeous hotel, the suite was stunning. Looking forward to coming back.
