The Randolph Hotel Oxford a Graduate by Hilton

The Randolph is ideally located in the centre of Oxford, with everything being in walkable distance. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. The service, sadly, didn’t match the hotel’s offering. Many staff members came across as unwilling to help, and even tried moving our party from areas, having been told to sit there by other staff members.

Have stayed here several times. Like the hotel and service. This stay, several issues with heating system. Appreciated responsiveness of team and adjustments upon check-out.

My kids and I stayed here for one night as a bit of research now that we’ve moved into the area, so we can see which hotels to suggest to friends. The building is very impressive but it’s a bit too old school for me, and could do to modernise a bit. The bar area is very small and situated near the front door. The food in the restaurant was delicious but the service was a little slow. We switched rooms because the heating wasn’t working properly, but this was all done very quickly and efficiently and we actually ended up in a nicer room. Compared to other 5 star hotels in the area, amenities in the bedrooms were a bit disappointing. So, whilst we enjoyed our stay, I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to friends staying in the area. Sorry!

Beautiful lounge and dining areas. Rooms are very cozy and comfortable. Would definitely return!

Breakfast was barely warm ! Shower was messy with rubber mat inside and bath mat out! Long walk from lift to shower. No coat hanging in restaurant area for outside clothing

Fittings and furnishings weren't up to standard in our room. Broken tap, peeling fabric on lamp. Room was far too hot.

Initial impression of the Randolph Oxford was good, albeit the double room was very small even for single occupancy. My experience in the bar was good with the staff making me feel comfortable and welcome. However on the day of departure things went from bad to terrible. I arrived for breakfast at around 9:45, when asking for white coffee they brought black, no milk/cream, no sweetener. I had to ask again for these. The door to the buffet was closed and locked at 10:00am sharp, I would have thought in a 5* hotel guests would have some additional time to complete breakfast, it appears that if you arrive 1 minute before breakfast closes, you have exactly 1 minute to complete your breakfast. I believe that someone had access to my room while I was out the previous evening or during breakfast as personal property had disappeared from the room. The staff on duty & management could provide no CCTV of the corridors or confirm when my room was accessed. In short they provided no support or explanation as to what had happened. They promised a follow up call but none has been received. I find it extraordinary that the hotel could not provide details on who/when my room was accessed. I am just glad that I left to valuable items, only personal items, in my room while I was out.

Everything was excellent apart from a couple of annoying things. Breakfast was buffet style, food was tasty but not piping hot, coffee was the same! Didn’t spoil our trip just a little frustrating! Parking expensive £48 per day at hotel.

Second time we stay at the Randolph. Mahesh in the front desk was wonderful. Very professional and helpful. The first night there was an issue with the water temperatura and pressure but the engineering department worked very fast to fix it. My thanks to engineering, it is a team you rarely see, but it is a very important department, especially in an older hotel such as the Randolph.

Very central, classic hotel. High quality and comfortable. Service could have been better. Luke warm breakfast food and substandard serving of breakfast drinks at the table. Waited so long for help with luggage I carried it up and down flights of stairs myself . Room TV broken and couldn’t be fixed or replaced Other than that , a very nice stay, but could be better value for money

Classic Oxford hotel in the heart of the city

This is the best hotel in Oxford. The location is excellent and all the service and history is fun and amazing. The restaurant is also very good.

This is a beautiful location and the lobby areas are lovely, however this was my second stay at the hotel this year and I specifically asked on the second stay to please be placed in a room which was easily accessible and not to far a walk, as I had my elderly father with me who cannot manage several stairs and a very long walk so we needed to be fairly near the lift. I also asked not to be in a room that smells of tobacco and smoke, as we had this problem the first time, as well as being very far from the lofts. Unfortunately we were again placed so far, it was the further room from the lifts possible and again I didn’t get a wink of sleep due to the tobacco smell in the room. So unfortunate for a beautiful hotel. This was a bad experience for us and the staff were not able to help with allocating an alternative room. I am travelling to Oxford again twice next month but will be trying a different hotel.

Love the desk, pad of paper and decor. Great location, wonderful bar. A true Oxford experience!

Great hotel. Location was perfect for shopping, dining and sightseeing. The hotel staff were helpful, kind and courteous. They were always available to provide assistance for all our questions and needs. Would highly recommend!

Tv in room was non functional.
