It was a lovely room and nice and warm. A pity I couldn’t stay longer. I had to go to work on New Years Day! 😑

Average stay

A well-located and good value Thames-side hotel with comfortable rooms in a characterful building. Some modernisation of bathroom facilities in our room (noisy pipes) and some wall art to brighten the space would have improved the look (minor criticism), but all spaces were in keeping and very fair at the price. Super friendly staff.

A nice enough hotel, Staff were efficient and polite although I couldn't say particularly warm or welcoming . we took a basic room and found it very pleasant, it was Warm , roomy and Clean with everything you would need , we also enjoyed a really nice full English breakfast. A very easy drive to kempton race course from here and a very nice Indian restaurant ( hotel dining was closed) within walking distance. We would definitely use warren lodge again. Thankyou.

I know it was Christmas but no one warned us that no room service/cleaning would be done and no one acted on my request to check the radiator was not working.

Breakfast was terrible as was the service, I didn’t attempt evening meal but can only imagine!!

Sadly every aspect of this hotel, apart from the breakfast, was sub-standard. Expedia do not allow enough characters to enable a detailed review unfortunately. Best I can advise is to book elsewhere. Hotel website and photos on external booking websites are VERY misleading!

Accommodation was good! The food in their Restaurant was absolutely disgraceful my husband ended up violently ill from what was supposed to be a chicken pie.. my meal wasn’t off but I most certainly would never recommend it! Anyone planning a stay there I would suggest having a meal out at another venue before you get to the hotel!!

Stay so nice, had to review it twice. Historic hidden gem just outside West London at an amazing price, what more could you ask for?!

The Warren Lodge is a beautiful historic hotel. It has all the culture of Britain, is a short distance from West London where you want to be, is on the water and all this comes at a price you can't beat. The staff is extremely accommodating and room service was delicious.

Property is old and a bit dated but in the lovely village of Shepperton with beautiful walks along the Thames. Some good restaurants and coffee shops

Value for money and a lovely nights stay, but a little outdated furniture in the room, but that does not impact on the stay. I will definitely return.

Whilst the location is pretty, the hotel itself is in much need of attention. Only one member of staff on duty when I arrived at 5pm, who had to serve bar guests as well as check ins, so there was a wait. He was however very pleasant & helpful. Whilst I was waiting I noticed the clock hadn’t been changed since daylight saving, a week ago & there plenty cobwebs. I did request single occupancy but I think it’s got to be the smallest room I have ever stayed in. The furniture was tired, chipped & badly marked. I had to wipe the sticky surface of the bedside cabinet before I dared to put anything on it. The toilet didn’t drain away probably but there was no point in trying to clear it with the toilet brush because that was broken. The TV wall bracket was also broken so the TV hung at an angle that was impossible to watch. I had to improvise with a tin of hairspray to prop the screen up to a watchable height. Overall very poor.

I have a soft spot for this hotel having stayed there many times over the years. However this visit really did highlight how dated the hotel is. It looks like there are new owners and they may be looking to update the property but i would guess they'll need to spend a small fortune, but good luck to them. The staff were very friendly The room was tired and dated, the shower was clean and the bed was comfortable, the internet wouldn't connect in my room, but worked fine in the bar area. I appreciate times are hard and hotels need to make some money from the bar however a pint of Guiness and a glass of wine was just over £18, totally ridiculous, i'd advise others to stock up in the town and drink your own. I opted for breakfast for an additional £14 per person per night, my advice would be to give it a miss, cheap ingredients made for a very bland experience. As stated previously i have used this hotel many times previously and to be perfectly honest im not 100% sure i'd stay there again. I really hope the owners can turn it around as its location is second to none

Rooms quite dated. Windows did not shut properly and were therefore drafty. Cold, no heating. Mildew in the bathroom and in the carpets. Location and surrounding area nice.
