Loved this hotel and surroundings

The rooms are modern and clean , the pub serves great food and the grounds and expansive and restful . It’s our favourite hotel in the area with lots of character and charm .

nice room, but annoyingly next to kitchen who had their back door open so was very noisy until kitchen closed.

We loved the room. It was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The only criticism was that we didn't have any hot water for the bath during our stay, as it was only tepid and on the morning we were leaving, even the shower water was tepid. This still wouldn't put us off from returning, as we both had a nice relaxing stay.

Comfortable rooms and excellent breakfasts/ bar snacks.

Faulty heating meant one uncomfortable hot night and shower too hot to use but change of room and second night alright

Old world charm

The hotel was hard to find in the dark as there were no or poor lights on the driveway. However, the staff were very friendly and professional and the food (breakfast) was of excellent quality (and quantity). It's a shame that there is no lift in the building, which makes less accessible for people with a disability. However, I'd definitely recommend the hotel.

Great location, superb room and very comfortable. Bar area great and food ordered was very tasty. Good selection of drinks available. Room well decorated and very clean and tidy. Issue with no hot water during our stay that wasn't rectified by staff which was disappointing as was looking forward to soaking in the free standing bath showed in the photos - so we probably won't stay again.

Check in slow, staff pretty slow. Food really expensive and poorly executed.

Fantastic room - all mod cons - brilliant

We stayed here recently and loved it so much we've been back again already. Rooms are stunning, staff friendly and food is delicious! We will most definitely keep returning

Bit of a hassle checking in as no one around to authorise

A friendly and comfortable hotel close to Guildford and Woking. The room was very comfortable and well-furnished with good amenities such as shampoo and conditioner. Our suggestion is to make more vegetarian options on the restaurant menu. It is very much recommended.

This property was in a great setting and the room was lovely, however staff weren’t the most helpful and bed was uncomfortable. Also had a strange noise which sounded like a washing machine/dishwasher going off into the early hours. Convenient for Woking train station to get into London which is what we did. Probably wouldn’t stay again which is a shame because I enjoyed the overall atmosphere and the room looked lovely.

Quaint, clean, good food, as expected.

Hotel and Staff were lovely. Warm and friendly nice atmosphere . Food was lovely had a fabulous roast. Location and setting very nice very spacious inside and out. Definitely recommend this pub/ Hotel and enjoyed our stay

Apart from no sink plug, and the drains smell in the room when I arrived (which disappeared after running the taps for a while), the room was well equipped and bed was very jcomfortable. The restaurant lets this place down though. As an allergen sufferer I had to work my way through the allergen folder at the bar (was not allowed to take it to the table) and was informed my meal is “usually” gluten free. I had two meals during my stay, one really poorly presented, both a little over priced for what they were, and both took over 30 minutes to be served, even though the place was not that busy. The plates were not cleared for at least an hour after I had finished on both evenings. Whilst not an unpleasant place, the room rate, food and drinks were not good value for money.
