Novotel Paris Les Halles

Hotel under construction. We were warned. Heater didn't warm room sufficient first two days. Staff were very accommodating

The location was perfect, which was the only highlight of my stay. However, there was no electric kettle or complimentary water provided in the room, which was disappointing. The pillows were very uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night’s sleep. Additionally, the room felt outdated and hallway light and did not justify the price I paid. Overall, the experience fell far below expectations.

IT WAS A PLEASANT STAY

Had a terrible episode while my stay on our 3 rd day someone from the staff stole $500 dollars from a book bag i left in my room. I reported the situation to the main desk, i spoke with one of the mangers and was asked to file a police report. Went looking for the police station which i was told was down in the metro area could not get any help. It was my first time traveling to Paris and this episode ruin part of my vacation since that money was to be spend with my family not intruder’s. The fact that i travel a lot and this had never happened at all . The fact that the hotel claimed they could not do anything to help me unless i file a police report- and the same help i got from the hotel was the help i got from the police location. So please Americans be mindful if you choose to stay here.

We had a very pleasant stay - the staff was amazing, and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The room was nice, clean, and well-furnished. The one issue we had was the noise from the renovation that started in the morning around 9am and continued through the day. Fortunately, once we were out sightseeing we did not have to put up with it.

I think people need to know that there are some major development going on at the hotel which means the hotel bears no resemblance to the pictures. If you’re giving a room in low 3 00s then watch out because the rooms are freezing because of the development going on below. I went through all of my emails from Expedia and there was no indication that the works were going on and that noise would go on from 8 o’clock in the morning till 6 o’clock at night. I couldn’t fault the hotel at all apart from the complete lack of information. I would be quite happy to stay at this hotel again because the location is fantastic and the facilities around the hotel are brilliant spoilt by the lack of information.

Great location right next to the metro with lots of shops/restaurants on the doorstep and easy walking distance to attractions. The building work was slightly disruptive but the staff and facilities at the hotel were excellent.

Property was very noisy and small. Not many amenities and the rooms were dirty and were not cleaned even upon request

Great location! The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The hot chocolate when we arrived was a really nice touch!

The property was under construction , the area was good. But the hotel expensive for what they offer .

No ac. Property was hot. Staff only responds to vocal complaining guests. Never again.

Excellent hotel

As a mother traveling with my family of four, our experience at Novotel Paris Les Halles was appalling. The rooms were stiflingly hot, with no AC and no ventilation, not even in the bathroom. Opening the window only brought noise from screaming people at night and construction during the day. Staff offered no real solutions, and another couple also complained about their uncomfortably hot room, saying they were “paying an arm and a leg” for such conditions. The room was filthy—we found a pill near the window and trash under the bed. Housekeeping was a joke. Despite requesting a cleaning early in the morning, our room wasn’t touched until late afternoon, and even then, the beds were made with the same linens, the sink and bathroom weren’t cleaned, and toilet paper wasn’t replaced. Staff behavior was humiliating. One employee mocked us openly, laughing and saying, “Here they are! Room 606!” every time we entered the lobby. It was demeaning and unprofessional, making us feel unwelcome. The glass shower wall, which didn’t fully turn opaque, offered no privacy and was inappropriate for families. Basic amenities like water were inadequate—two tiny bottles for four people for a five-night stay, with rude refusals for more. This hotel is a disgrace to the Novotel brand. Avoid it at all costs.

Great location

The property is in a great location on top of a metro station and walkable to major attractions. There’s lots of dining options around and the staff was fantastic. They are undergoing some renovations at this time so it can be noisy during the day.

Knew there were renovations at hotel but whole hotel covered in scaffolding, making the building at night not clear. Not ideal in an unfamiliar city. Bar and restaurant poor, the only good thing was room, but even that had a wrapped duvet -and the air con and hair dryer were not working when first arrived. Had to call engineer. Would not stay again, very poor value

Perfectly located to walk around this central area of Paris with easy access to the main subway/RER station of Chatelet/Les Halles. It’s spacious and quiet with welcoming staff.

Love, Love, Love this modern hotel! It is run so efficiently. The hotel is clean, convenient and economical. I highly suggest looking at their website at all the amenities offered. They also have a hotel in NYC we will stay at during our visit to NYC for the Christmas holidays.
