Kronenhotel Stuttgart

Two night stay while in town on business. Really like this hotel. It’s old school German, which I love! The room key is a real key with a big metal tag linked to it. The whole thing prob weighs a pound. You leave it at the front desk when you go somewhere and they cheerfully give in back when you return. The whole facility is clean and in great condition and good Wi-Fi. One of the best breakfast spreads I’ve had in a while. Staff is super attentive and helpful. One drawback is no gym (but that comes with old school). Location is excellent with 5-7 minute walk to train access and 10-15 minute walk to the old downtown action. I found two nearby brauhaus restaurants and loved both. Price is right, no complaints. Will return here on my next trip.

Great value

The quiet and centrally located hotel has its own, easily accessible car park. Excellent room with blackout shutters, a very comfortable bed, and an excellent bathroom. Very good breakfast served in a quiet and luminous room with a green outside terrace. Amiable and helpful service.

The breakfast is awesome!! The rooms are a little bit dated but clean and the staff are great. Was overall a great place to stay when traveling.

Was visiting for the Cannstatt, which is a good time. Accommodations are fantastic. Large, quiet, and clean room. Bed was comfortable. Good proximity to the main train station, U-, and S-Bahn. Very helpful front desk staff who are clearly service-oriented. Area itself did not seem to have many dining choices since it was largely residential or part of the University. But there are plenty of options a stop or short walk away.

Clean and modern place. Excellent breakfast. A short walk to main shopping street but very quiet neighbourhood. Only negative is there are typical hotel door banging and floor scraping noises and also the electric blinds moving in other rooms which may affect sleep.

I was attracted to this hotel based on the excellent reviews for the breakfast. The breakfast was indeed truly amazing. There are many vegetarian dishes on offer, and many different meats and cheeses. Many little plates of some delicacy or another, so fun for small tastes. Great little yogurts and smoothies. Chocolate mousse and brownies with whipped cream. Seasonal fruit. The bread bar was outstanding. I'd return to this hotel just for the breakfast! Very memorable and really a highlight of our stay. The front desk staff were professional, friendly and efficient. This seems to be a business hotel, as most of the guests who we saw at breakfast were men (and a few women) in suits. They have a wet sauna and a dry sauna, which you need to reserve ahead of time, which was easy to do. My husband loved his hour in the sauna. There is plenty of storage space in the room, which was very much appreciated. The cleanliness was great. I was grateful for the heated towel rack. The detractions from a perfect stay were these: The bed mattress sits within a wooden frame, not on top of a frame or box spring. This means that when you sit on the bed, your legs are pressed against the narrow edge of the wooden frame. Not at all comfortable. The toilet is wedged between the wall and the sink cabinet, and you cannot spread your legs to clean yourself while sitting on it. Absolutely no room. It was far enough from the HBF that we needed a taxi to help us get there in the snow.

The hotel is in a great location and very nice staff but I really couldn’t understand the high ratings.

Amazing service and stay. Able to walk to the wine festival easily. Large room and comfortable bed. Very clean. The breakfast buffet was DELICIOUS! We will stay at this hotel again. Thank you staff for a wonderful trip!

An over priced hotel that lists so many features but when you get there none Are available.

Everything is awesome, kind and helpful staff, spacious and clean room, in addition, the breakfast is excellent! Definitely will stay here whenever I visit Stuttgart.

This is my second time staying at the Kronenhotel Stuttgart. During my stay in Germany, will always stay at this hotel when travelling to Stuttgart. From their amazing hotel desk staff, delicious breakfast, comfortable room, and location, the Kronenhotel is the best! LOVE the Kronenhotel Stuttgart!!!
