Close to major thoroughfares. The spa was excellent.

Very nice hotel and the room was as promised. It seemed to be in more of an industrial area but still very nice.

Very helpful front desk. Patricia and Carlos are two of the names I remember, but others were helpful as well. Thank you! Good food at the restaurant in the hotel. Never served anything I didn’t like. The breakfast bar was plentiful and very well maintained. Overall happy with our stay.

A huge thank you to Patricia at the front desk. We feel she went above and beyond in assisting us the morning of our arrival. We were tired and needed sleep and I think she could see that. Thank you!

Enjoyed my stay at Hotel Island. Desk clerks are very helpful and the breakfast buffet has a variety of fruit.

Had one of the best rooms in the hotel on the top floor with a balcony (no chairs on deck) but of course we got the room that the sun beats into all afternoon. We kept the curtains closed but it was still hot. We put 3 fans in the room but it was still hot. Not what we expected for the high price. My husband upgraded to this room so we could use the spa after adventuring all day, sadly the first night it was somehow booked for a private event??? How can they book it when their lodging customers pay for this upgrade??? Next night it was closed at 8pm??? People come here on vacation, they are enjoying the sights, then going for dinner then coming back to enjoy the hot tub???? Had we known we would not have upgraded the room and probably have chosen another hotel. Very FRUSTRATING! The third night we didn’t even try as dinner took longer than expected thus didn’t get back till 7:30 and it would have closed within 30 mins??? Advertise the closing time when advertising you have a hot tub. NOT FAIR! Normal hot tubs/pools close at 10 pm in my experience. We will not return to this hotel in future visits to Iceland.

Great stay, lovely hotel. Staff were super nice, held our luggage for us after check out so we could explore the city before our bus pick up. Restaurant was enjoyable as well.

Comfortable enough and great staff but only provide bare necessities. No cleaning of rooms except to replace towels and mugs. Have to pay extra for breakfast and to use the gym and spa.

Hotel has an restaurant bar on site. Extra cost for the breakfast buffet which had a good variety. Rooms were nice. Staff was pleasant.

Wasn't happy with the hotel. The beds were hard. The rooms were very dark. It was very hot in the rooms it would be nice to have a fan in the room. We also had several issues with our room(fridge and safe didn't work, several lights were out), but the hotel took care of them right away. The best was their Helka restaurant, the food was excellent.

A bit off the path of the old city

Bed was not comfortable. Staff was very helpful Especially John, he was. AMAZING AND VERY ACCOMMODATING. Spa staff was great, nice

The hotel was average, my only complaint was that our room was quite dirty. The bathroom sink had some pebbles in it, and the bathtub had some yellow and orange stains around the grout and handles.

We had a great stay. Our room was wonderful and the spa was a big treat. Only issue for us was limited breakfast options. Overall, I highly recommend.
