Hótel Blönduós

Really beautiful Cape Cod like cottage near a black sand beach and walking trail which is a great stop along the ring road. Nice breakfast, friendly staff and at least one hotel cat. Very beautiful sunny day while there.

Nice and quiet location. Has heaters throughout the apartment that kept the place nice and warm through the cold weather. Friendly helpful staff at reception. Standard breakfast.

Excellent stay.

We stayed at the apartment 1st floor. The view is brilliant but disadvantage is no lift. You may consider other room types if you are with heavy luggages.

I loved the vintage room with the hot tub.

This was a wonderful surprise. The 3-person room turned out to be an apartment (1/4 of a building, I think), right on the water. Loved watching the birds from our porch and able to pop out to walk and watch the sunset. The apartment is renovated from one of the original Blonduos buildings and has been furnished with an old-time aesthetic. The sitting room was great. The kitchen has everything you need to eat at home (in Iceland, that saves a lot of money). Breakfast was provided back in the regular hotel and was typical Icelandic (plus a waffle maker) and excellent.

The best accommodation during our trip in Iceland. The staff is amazing. Breakfast was great.

The seaside location is lovely. The in house restaurant was great for dinner and the breakfast was awesome.

Excellent hotel

Blonduos was my first stop after Reykjavik on a complete tour via the Ring Road. Small town hotel but offered good breakfast and dinner. Staff were very helpful.

Cute room, clean and the staff were super friendly.

Amazing stay. We had a free upgrade because the hotel had 2 large groups with kids. So in order to be quite the receptionist gave as a unique suite. She was well informed and made us feel cozy.

Upgraded to apartment room which included kitchen, dining room and living room! Spacious 2 bedroom comfortable beds. Excellent bathroom and renovated. Nice breakfast and free drink from bar from friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Wonderful peaceful stay in a hidden gem!

This is a great hotel with a restaurant onsite that provides an interesting menu. The ground floor rooms were very noisy thanks to some of the guest congregating in the ground floor lobby area late at night - not ideal if you are trying to get some sleep. The rooms do not have air conditioning so leaving a window open was required. Not much to do in Blonduos town but this is a good stopover hotel on your travels from or to Reykjavik.

Excellent! We even get 10% off for the food in the restaurant, which is good!
