Reykjavik Residence Hotel

My friends and I were visiting Reykjavik for a long weekend and had an amazing stay at this hotel. It was clean, safe, and staff were so communicative. Landing here made our stay so easy. We also booked our tours through the hotel, which made our trip planning incredibly simple.

Amazing condo right downtown and quiet. Newly built or remodeled, very high end, but affordable. We loved the wine bar down the street. Excellent reception. They even held our luggage for four days while on a tour. Highly recommend.

Perfect! We stayed in a one bedroom suite. Clean, well appointed, comfortable, tgoughtful touches in the room. Staff was consistently friendly and knowledgeable. Location was perfect, right off the main street with plenty of shopping and food options near by. Will definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Excellent concierge service. We arrived very early in the morning and were allowed to check into a different but available room without a fee!! A very easy walk to bus stop 6 and bus stop 14 to meet our tour buses and Fly Bus to the airport. Clean as a whistle with juice, milk, coffee pods, and cereal available. Centrally located to walk to all the major attractions in the city with the exception of the Perlin Museum. Highly recommend.

Outstanding service and immaculate accommodations.

Very clean, lots of space. Nice kitchen, laundry and dryer in the apartment. A little bit of a strange set up. Only 1 tv and it was in one of the bedrooms. No tv in the living room. The only tv also had very limited channels and wouldn’t stream.

Great location near to main shopping street but quiet. Well equipped and proportioned. We had the breakfast which was delivered and placed in the fridge the afternoon before then fresh sourdough bread delivered about 8am in the morning enough for breakfast and lunch!

Very friendly staff and helpful with suggestions for things to do in and outside town. Rooms are quite nice with comfortable mattresses wonderful bathrooms with high pressure hot water available. The fact that the rooms are right in the middle of the downtown area made for easy access to everything. Three downsides. 1. The buildings for the rooms are scattered around about a km radius from the main city center. But, the lobby is also in a completely different location. Even though I had stayed previously and knew this situation, google maps will lead you astray by taking you to one of the buildings away from the check in lobby and there isn't a good spot to "pull over" and try to figure it out as the downtown parking is awful. 2. Their little "kitchen's" are very minimalistic. No freezer section of their small refrigerators and no oven. We made the mistake of buying some food before arriving that required an oven and had to let that food go to waste. 3. Parking is REALLY bad. The first night, I had to park the car nearly .5 km away from where we were staying. Later, I learned when and where to park that would get us within 100 m. Fortunately, there is an app called "Parka" which will allow you to deal with the tolls easily.

The location cannot be beat walking distance to everything food groceries tourist info etc We did get the top floor room which was roomy however the stairs are VERY narrow and steep if you are not able bodied or very strong ask what floor your room is because I don’t think people older then us (we are in our late 40s) could manage the stairs with their luggage The convenience of the room key app was amazing and simple to use The room was spacious warm and comfortable would definitely stay again

What I noticed upon arriving to this hotel was the warmth and friendliness of the staffs there. It was an amazing start to a great trip and I felt relieved to know I was in good hands! Not only did the receptionist offer to check us in early so we could get situated, but this hotel’s overall serivce I received while staying here was phenomenal. It is definitely one of those hotels you’ll want to come back to and stay at for your trips or will recommend to your community! Fantastic! A wonderful apartment, immaculate, clean with beautiful features and high ceilings. Plenty of storage space. The kitchenette was perfect and well stocked. The reception team were very helpful from before we arrived until we left. Highly recommend, we hope to return soon!

We had a great stay at the Reykjavik Residence Hotel! Everything was very comfortable and the location was convenient to everything. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Reykjavik.

The hotel has many properties within walking distances. Sometimes two rooms booked together may be accommodated in separate properties. I was lucky that my children and I , though we had separate rooms, were 4 floors apart , in the same building

Perfect location to shopping and restaurants. Beautiful suite, had everything that we needed. And we slept wonderful in the comfortable beds. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed for one night in a 3 BR apartment in Reykjavik. It was a reasonably comfortable place. Parking is a bit inconvenient since it's in an area with paid street parking. We also heard people walking and driving by, but not super late at night. I would recommend it for anyone wanting to be close to the tourist part of the city.

Beautiful mini-apartments.

I can't say enough good things about my stay at the Reykjavik Residence Hotel. The room was huge, had a full kitchen, a nice size living room, two TV's. It was just fantastic. The only small complaint is the shower is really small even though the bathroom was big enough for a bigger one. It's right in the heart of the city with walking access almost everywhere. The staff was amazingly attentive and arranged all of my cabs the entire trip. Iceland is an expensive place, but the quality here was top notch.

Loved our stay and would definitely return. The only difficulty was arriving in the dark/rain and not being able to find the checkin location. Other than that- all was perfect!
