Kama Hotel

I just came back from Medan and stayed at Kama Hotel. Honestly, apart from one small issue, my experience here was really good! The room rate is pocket-friendly, especially the location is super strategic. It's really easy to go anywhere, close to the station and the city center like Merdeka Walk. Transportation access is also not complicated. When I arrived, the receptionist was friendly and the check-in process was fast. The other hotel staff were also really helpful during my stay. Now, what I like again is the restaurant! The food tastes good and the price is still reasonable. I had the chance to try the in-room service too, and the service was pretty fast. The cleanliness of the room and the hotel area is also well maintained. Unfortunately, there is one thing that is a bit annoying. I got room 616, and the AC sounded exactly like crickets at a concert! It was really annoying when I wanted to sleep. I complained and a technician came, but it only went away for a moment and then the crickets came back. In fact, the rest of the room was okay, clean and comfortable. Hopefully the hotel can fix the AC in that room soon so that other guests don't experience the same thing. Overall, Kama Hotel has many plus points, starting from the price, location, friendly staff, to delicious food. If there is no AC problem in room 616, it's perfect. I highly recommend this hotel for those of you who are looking for comfortable and strategic accommodation in Medan.

The hotel's location is very good because it can walk to Merdeka Walk, KAI Station, Tjong A Fie Mansion and the textile center. Only the food variations are limited, the taste is not good, even chili sauce is not available, let alone asking for beef eye there will be a charge. I booked 2 rooms with a Superior Double bed (2 nights x 450 thousand) and all the rooms had the hardest beds like we were sleeping on the floor then covered with a bed cover and I have never felt that during my stay at a hotel of its class. I asked the housekeeping staff and the answer was I didn't know. I am very surprised why someone would dare to give a score of 9/10 or even 10/10. For those who only prioritize the location of the hotel without caring about the other side, it's OK.

Not a special hotel and not particularly impressive in terms of service or facilities. However, its location is what saves this hotel.

The place is nice, the location is in the middle of the city, the old city. Not far from Medan station, close to Merdeka Square, close to Center Point Mall. The room is clean, the breakfast is delicious, the fried rice is the best. Only the mattress is not soft enough, a bit hard. But highly recommended.

The beginning was good, from start to finish. But when I wanted to check out. I wanted to order food at the restaurant downstairs. Reza, the food department, didn't respond. He just stared at me with his sadistic eyes. I paid, it wasn't free! I was really annoyed, I swear. Even though the hotel was clean. Around 11:18. But the waiters at the restaurant lacked training.
