The facilities are very old, the room is so small. The water in the swimming pool smells bad and seems not clean. And the swimming pool is not big as the picture looks like. The price of this hotel is not fair. I have stayed at another hotel in June, which is more closer to the beach, and with larger room, but almost half price from Mecure. I have been travelled in bali for many times. This is the worst hotel I have stayed in Bali. I am very disappointed. The room service staff are passionate and very nice, but there is a girl at the reception seems not happy. She would rather serve White People than serve me-an asia face people. She always wear a fake and cold smile. Anyway, other staffs are very nice. Not recommended, with this price, you have many other good choices.

Had to wait around 30 mins for check in process, but we could drop our baggage first and received welcome drink. The room well prepared, nice and clean. The cons is the lighting, but its OK for me. Various menu for breakfast, have 2 pool (near the restaurant and at 4th floor) which nice. Location near the Legian beach and tourist area (restaurant/art market) also not too far from airport (need to take car/bycycle). Good service from all the staffs. So far we have a great experience at Mercure Legian!

We had to wait an hour to check in, we requested connecting room and baby cot. And they have no connecting room and didn't put our room next to each other. When we were in the room there is no baby cot and another half an hour to wait for housekeeping to get it set up. The receptionists seems to disorganize for booking information. They keep phoning me 4 times in total asking about my extend room and insisted me to go downstairs to register my stay again when they already done that the first time. Last day we went for breakfast quite late around 10am they closed at 10.30am. Almost all food gone and I had to ask several times for the food to be refill. It supposed to be provided but I had to beg for them to give my breakfast. Good part is the food taste great so kudos for the chef. The rest of it is awful. The worse mercure we ever stayed!

Hair dryer can work only for 1 min then you need to wait for another 2 or 3 mins before you can use it again. Have reported this issue the technician came and he said it is automatic control. But as short time as that I guess. The staff not helpful. When checked out, me with 1 kid & 2 big luggages, they just said, "hati-hati di jalan, Ibu." Not even offer any hands to help. After we finished loaded the luggage to car 1 of the staff came & asked, "do you need any help?" Of course not anymore. If you want to help that was before, when I was busy with the luggages not bow after the luggages was in the car. Breakfast so so, not too many variant provided.

It was completely a horrible staying experience with this hotel and we would never be back here: First day:- when we arrived, we saw multiple rooms next to us under maintenance. Not sure if we buy from traveloka we are given the bad rooms as this has happened to us before with other hotels overseas that we booked from traveloka.- no towels (for body) were given in the bathroom, only face towels.- telephone in the room was broken (no sound at all when ringing to some number)- there were fungi (white stains) on all sides of the shower wall.- the toilet smelled stinky.- the doorknob of the bathroom fell down by itself.- the drawer knob under the sink also fell down by itself.- when we complain about this they never said sorry and instead blamed the covid situation. Understand that most hotels were impacted because of covid but they should understand that tourists are coming back to Bali, and if they are short of hands, they should anticipate this by hiring more manpower.- we also heard a few other rooms were complaining about the towels. Second day:- no towels were given at all and our previous towels were taken away so how can we dry ourselves?- we complain and they came back with new towels however when we said this to the staff who brought the towel, he answered he's just new training staff and should complain to other staff. Aren't they working under the same company? If they are, he should be delivering our message to the management instead of asking us to convey our message to other staff. We don't know who's a new or permanent staff there (very unprofessional), but our point is just to get this solved since we are staying for 4 nights (5 days) there.- toilet still smelled stinky. On the third day:- The door access was broken. We weren't able to tap our card on the door and therefore needed to go down to the receptionist to get this solved. They said the card malfunctioned or is it a way to revenge since we are complaining a lot about your services?- we were not given any new towels and our previous towels were left in the bathroom with it still being humid and not completely dry. We were just too tired to complain since there is no action from them.- the floor wasn't mopped at all and the bed sheet was never changed throughout our stay in the room. Day 4:- only 1 new towel was given and 2 of our previous towels were left in the bathroom. But these towels were just completely opened and not folded to make it neat.- bed sheet has still not changed.- the floor was still not mopped. Day 5: Finally our horrible stay ended here and we actually looked for other hotels to move out during our 3rd-night stay but most of them were completely full. Is this a kind of 1-star hotel or 4 stars hotel? I believe Mercure should be quite an above standard hotel, especially since it is managed under Accor hotels. But we completely had a terrible stay here and wouldn't be back. Or it is due to the agent's agreement with hotels that they will provide the lowest grade room as this has happened to us the 5th time with this hotel. Food was also stopped refilling by 9.30 am (cut off time for breakfast is at 10.30 am), is this a way to cut costs? Tourists are coming back they shouldn't be cutting costs anymore and instead upgrade their standards to the way before the pandemic.
