Dreamy Italian wedding nestled in the Umbrian hills! We're still dreaming of what a fabulous time we had in the rolling Umbrian hills with all our loved ones! Why have a wedding day when you can have a wedding week?! Family stayed for 5-6 days and guests stayed for 3-4 days. There was ample room to host different meals and events at different parts of the venue, whilst guests were able to roam the grounds in the day, take a swim or visit the animals nearby with the children. It was truly magical and the farmhouse was covered in flowers, twinkling fairylights and with a background that looked like a renaissance painting! Rosaria and her team went above and beyond for our wedding, we were instantly treated like family and were supported through every step. The hospitality was outstanding and it's clear that there is a lot of love poured into this historic farmhouse. The venue can comfortably host about 85 people, with some staying close by in nearby guesthouses. There is no local public transport so guests will need to hire cars to get around.

My wife and I had an amazing wedding week at the Agriturismo Santa Maria with our friends and family--it was even better than we were hoping for (a week in the Italian countryside for our friends and family, culminating in a great party, aka, our wedding). The venue/our stay: The agriturismo is in a gorgeous/rural area and ~10 minute drive from two nearby towns with food and amenities. The venue was large enough to allow us to comfortably have ~40 adult guests, plus kids, stay at the venue with us for a week (there are two parts to the venue, and one is a ~5 minute drive away from the main area, which was kind of a bummer as we were told there was a walking path between them). The hostess/owner, Rosaria, was very helpful and caring for us and our people--so lovely and welcoming and available to help if issues came up (she lives near the upper portion of the venue, with her family). There was a daily breakfast provided and a couple meals during the week (which were all negotiable), which most everyone took advantage of and enjoyed. One thing I wish we would have done differently is be upfront about costs -- we had agreed with the venue on a price-per-person, but then had fewer people coming than anticipated. We think the venue was trying to make up the difference by charging for pool time and reduced laundry services, which added some stress to our already stressful week (we were more than happy to spend the total amount we'd agreed to initially, even with fewer people). That was partly on us for not discussing it more openly, too. That said, we got the sense that the venue would be along for the ride for whatever vision a couple might have for their wedding week. They even mentioned making a medieval-themed wedding come to life! The rooms/apartments were nice and spacious for us and our guests, which included numerous families with small children. The atmosphere felt very Italian, as did the venue. There were lots of good places to be outside at the venue, including a covered outdoor dining area and a pool that was used regularly by the kids while the parents/non-parents chilled poolside. Everyone had such an amazing time there and we're so happy we chose this venue for our wedding week! The wedding: The venue catered, which was nice because it was simple to arrange, and the food was VERY tasty. We had a 5-course meal, not including dessert, plus the passed appetizers at cocktail hour and it was all fantastic. They also did almost all of the set-up for the event, and it all looked lovely! The venue is gorgeous for a wedding and has the feel of a huge farmhouse in the Italian countryside, especially as the sun sets over the neighboring hills. There were plenty of large spaces to host various stages of the wedding day, and the venue was happy to find vendors. We don’t speak Italian other than travel basics, and there were some language barriers (for example the DJ, who was a last-minute substitute due to injury of the original DJ, did not speak English and played the wrong music for the bride to walk down the aisle and went ‘off-book’ during dancing) so if possible, having someone who speaks a bit of Italian could help if the details are important. The staff were amazing and very kind, and we felt that everyone really wanted us to have a beautiful wedding. Our guests on the whole had an amazing time and are still talking about it.

Beautiful surroundings and an amazing view. The swimming pool is very big and surrounded by olive trees for some shade. Everyone here is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms however can get very hot, there is no airconditioning but there is a fan which helps but the room stays warm during the night.

Amazing facility for our large family reunions. The view, industrial kitchen, raised dining area and the pool stand out.

Not as described. Food particularly bad and after the first night we chose not to eat there as the food quality was so bad - cheap supermarket food. We were very disappointed. Not worth the price at all
