After attending a very well-run wedding where the food was good, we decided to celebrate a baptism here. From the first moment we were treated as if we were people with limited economic possibilities, without having tried in any way to negotiate on the price or the menu, but immediately accepting the owner's proposals, but we took the step because we liked the place. During the week before the event I interfaced with the owner's wife, unfortunately a really unfriendly person (in my opinion), who, when I announced a few days before that some people would not be coming because they were ill, replied that she couldn't do anything about it because they had already called the waiters. But let's get to the day of the event: waiters who were not at all professional, who did not give directions to the guests. We had agreed to take photos with the cake upon our arrival considering the age of the child, but we were denied and we were forced to eat the initial buffet first, of terrible quality, with very cold food, inedible pizzas, pasta omelettes as hard as stone. In the meantime, the entertainment staff let 15 children run around the pool because "their work would begin with the start of lunch at the table". An animator during the party even asked me, who was the mother of the birthday girl, to keep an eye on a child because he no longer wanted to be with the entertainment team and when I pointed out the child's mother to accompany him, he replied that he had to watch the other children and leave. Previously agreed background music was non-existent because "the disc was jammed". Maximum disorganization of the service. When my parents entered the room they found their table invaded by children eating alone without the presence of an entertainer. The only positive note is the truffle ravioli. Then paccheri with crunchy aubergine crisps which were simply very hard and inedible aubergine peels. Decent second course with potatoes that should have been crunchy but were immersed in the meat sauce. Good fruit salad and cake. Waiters who cleared the tables, closing the room with the wedding favors inside while the guests tasted the cake by the pool. When I pointed it out, I asked to at least take the wedding favors to where the guests were to avoid having to walk 300 meters for each wedding favor and a waiter reluctantly took the entire table with the wedding favors, causing them to fall and to my question "are they broken?" he replied grumpily “nothing was broken ma'am, they fell on the grass!”.
At the time of payment, the owner's wife barely looked up to say hello and when we pointed out several times that the buffet was completely frozen, we were told that they could not predict the weather temperatures, ignoring the fact that I was referring to the food. Obviously, as we expected, no discount was given to us other than a rounding of the total for the people who didn't come and who I had previously communicated because "they had already called the waiters and therefore had to pay them", but we didn't bat an eyelid and paid and thanked them without replying. I expect an inappropriate response from the owner based on the economic possibilities and the refinement of the customer's palate who, unlike him who he doesn't know, knows the structure having experienced it first hand.
Good work.
