The vibe of the place is all beautiful and bright and airy. The views from the balcony are beautiful of Florence and the vibe on the little alley on the side with the cafes and bars was lovely. The room is airy and not super congested like other European rooms I stayed in. Bathroom is not bad just a tight shower. If you’re a bigger person, like me, please upgrade to a bigger room to have a more comfortable bath and room. Staff was fantastic and very quick to respond with anything missing. Andrei was outstanding, always smiley, willing to help and give tips. The breakfast staff was lovely and helped me pack a to go box, since I was leaving so early the next day. No hot eggs or sausage but delightful baked goods, cheese and cold cuts, juice etc and all that jazz. Lovely cappuccino on demand and please save room for the chocolate Croissants baked on the spot!. Last but not least, take a few minutes to sit in the balcony and take the city in or go up to the roof for a magnificent view ❤️, Thank you everyone at Machiavelli for making this a memorable, hopefully repeatable stay :).

The hotel’s location is highly desirable, being just a mile away from most iconic landmarks. However, the hotel’s name and signage are quite small, making it easy to miss if you’re not paying close attention. Despite this minor inconvenience, the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the disappointment lies in the rooms themselves. They are quite cramped, and there are no power outlets near the desk, which is a major drawback for anyone who wants to work on their laptop. However, there are power outlets on the nightstands, which is a relief for those who need to use their mobile devices. The bathroom is also quite cramped. The door opens into the shower, so it doesn’t fully open, which can be inconvenient. Additionally, there are some mold on the tiles in the shower, and since the shower is half open without a door, there’s a risk of flooding if you’re not careful. This design seems to be quite common in the area. Our particular room was poorly situated near the elevator, which resulted in a lot of noise and unwanted distractions. The plumbing from the next room or the room above was quite loud, so we could hear people using the toilet or shower. To make matters worse, there was a screaming baby nearby that was quite unpleasant.

Hotel location is in great walking distance to tourist sites.

The location and staff were wonderful. We stopped in Florence for only one night to ride scooters in the Tuscany hills. The hotel was conveniently located between the train station and the scooter station. The staff took excellent care of us while we were there.

Good location, nice entrance, nice terrace on 5th floor. Rooms and hallways are below average and noisy.

The property is in very good condition, the concierge is very friendly and informative, the room has a beautiful view and is very clean. I am very happy with my stay.

There was not a place to park to unload in a very busy area, had to circle around several times waiting for the one space available to check in and unload. Room was not as clean as it could have been. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

Good location but you’re hit with a dank, sewer-like smell upon entering and the plumbing is old and loud. Cramped spaces and lack luster presentation. Skip this one until they upgrade their premises.

The only reason I didn't give a 5-star rating was because the noise from outside made it hard to sleep from about midnight to 3am. There were women laughing and talking on the street outside. Otherwise, we loved this hotel. It has a rooftop bar with great food and lovely views. The staff is very helpful. Room was always clean.

Hotel has the perfect location near all the tour sites and train station. Staff was lovely!

Beautiful rooftop views

Stayed 3 nights, 2 were in a room where the AC was broken during near 40 degree weather, almost impossible to sleep during the night. Bathroom reeked of sewer gas, had to put a towel under the door to stop from filling the bedroom. TV was big, and room has small balcony with very good view of the cathedral. Hotel managed to get me a room change on the last night, AC was nice and strong, terrace was big. Loud in morning due to construction

The room was small, but fine for us. Due to building work outside we couldn't have the windows open, which made it feel a little claustrophobic especially as the a wasn't that efficient. The hotel was perfectly placed location wise, easy for the station and the main sites. The roof top bar was wonderful, stunning views and the food offered was simple but lovely
